Part 20, Finally

[Two Months Later, Spellbound]

Nick: Ava, come on! The party literally can't start without you! I'm sure your dress looks fine!

Ava, in the other room: Hey! You try wearing a fancy dress for the first time in your life!

Nick crossed his arms and didn't say anything.

Ava: That's what I thought! Now, get going! I'm not coming out unless I make a grand entrance. Now, beat it!

Nick chuckled and headed for the room where the party was. Matt, Amanda, Sam, Woods, Nate, and Nova were all in one big cluster.

Matt: Is she coming, yet?

Amanda swatted his arm.

Amanda: Perfection takes time, Matt!

Everyone laughed, making Nick smile. For a change, everyone was relaxed and happy. They all could heal. Especially Nova and Ava. Nova had covered Ava when the walls came falling in, and she had taken quite a few injuries from it. Including... Nova had her leg removed. When a piece of wall fell, it cut off the circulation to her leg. Nova was doing better, but she still was getting used to her prosthetic. And Nate was a big help. Ava, on the other hand, was still suffering from horrible nightmares. Along with other injuries. But, both of them were healing. As they all were.

Nate: Here's your girl, Nick!

Nick turned, seeing Ava as though for the first time. Her long black hair was slightly curled, and her face was lightly made up. Her dress was simple but beautiful. Silver in color, with short sleeves, and almost floor length. It went beautifully with her blue eyes. She slowly came over to them with a shy smile.

Ava, sheepish: Sorry it took so long.

Nick smiled, pulling her close.

Nick: It was well worth the wait, Av.

She smiled, then took his hand, leading him to her music setup.

Ava: Ready?

He smiled and turned the lights out.

Nick: Hell, yeah.

Everyone from Spellbound began murmuring, no one but Nick and Ava knew what was going to happen. Suddenly, a projection appeared on the wall, of Matt way back when he had first started on YouTube. Ava started playing Alan Walker's "Faded". As the song went on, the videos became more and more updated, showing brief clips. Ava began remixing the song a little, making it into a more dancing song. Suddenly, the party lights turned on, and the music upped. Everyone began dancing and smiling. Matt and the others looked at Ava in surprised wonder.

Ava, this is amazing!

Hey, it's the anniversary of Spellbound Studios! We wouldn't be here if it wasn't for you.

You know what I mean. Thank you.

You're welcome, Dad.

Nick wrapped his arm around Ava's shoulders, and she leaned into him.

Ava: You know, I think we're finally going to be normal twenty-somethin' year olds.

Nick looked at her with a smirk.

Nick: I wouldn't want to be normal for anything.

She smiled.

Ava: Fair enough.

She let out a contented sigh, as she watched her friends and family dance and laugh. Finally, without a care in the world.
