= Chapter 7, Glitchy's Heart =

The day I attempted to kill one of my younger cousins, was the day I failed to murder someone. You see, it was a battle at the castle.. I'd brought the crew back home to find something, to take something of mine back. We were in the courtyard, arrows being fired everywhere and despair in the air. I held my dark spear and began to step towards Glitchy, she had run off to the statue garden just outside the clock tower at the very back of the castle. When Glitchy had ran off from the others in battle I followed here because she took it with her, now this special item? I'm not telling you what it is.. you may go looking for it and I don't want that.

Anyways, I stepped towards her with a strong intent to kill, she was backed away into a corner yet she displayed no fear upon her face. Her eyes were glaring at me with the angriest glare I've ever seen her wear, she'd put the item behind her and was guarding it in the corner she'd backed into. I smashed the floating fire statue out of the way and approached her, we fought for about an hour before I finally struck her to the floor. Glitchy may look like one of the weakest in the family but she's not captain of the army for no reason... she's one of the strongest, but not the smartest at times. Glitchtrap's the smarter twin of the two.

"I'm n-not giving up... I will s-strike you down!.." Glitchy said, though her words were a bit difficult to properly understand as she was currently coughing up a bit of blood. I kneeled down beside her "I don't think you're going to be striking anyone down anytime soon..." I muttered into her ear before I thrust my hand into her chest, ripping it open above where her heart would be. After a few seconds of blindly searching I found it, her heart. Upon grabbing her heart in a firm grip I pulled it out and watched it drip with dark, slightly purple blood.

"D-don't.." she pleaded, yet I placed it upon the floor and raised my spear to it. I was in the perfect position to end her, yet I didn't... I had every intention to do it but I hesitated. I lowered my spear and dropped it to the floor again "You've done nothing to me.. you're not a big threat anyways.." I said, though it was more to myself than her. Instead of permanently erasing her existence, I summoned a box from a dark portal and then placed Glitchy's heart inside of it. I locked the box with several keys and sent the box back through the portal, I picked up the item I had originally come to find and then I placed the keys to the box somewhere safe for the journey back to the shadow realm.

I left Glitchy bleeding out on the floor, yes she could still die.. but she'd never eternally die. Not unless I stab her heart, I went back to the courtyard where the main fighting was and summoned a portal. "..We're going home, until we meet again Spring..." I called out, upon yelling this everyone I'd brought with me to fight immediately came back to the portal and took their leave. Once everyone was safely through the portal I exited too, but not before telling Spring one last thing... "Oh, and you might want to check the statue garden.. a little birdie told me Glitchy's there, laying on the floor bleeding out..." I added a little laugh on the end of the sentence and closed the portal after I'd gone through it.

I hid the keys and placed the box somewhere hidden too, I may have never killed her but Glitchy's heart is now in my possession. You see, if you take out the heart of a shadow, glitch, phantom or spirit.. their heart will keep beating unless it is ended. Stabbing the heart usually kills it but sometimes you have to use other methods of eternally killing them. If a shadow, glitch, phantom or spirit dies to a method of death such as old age or disease, they do not eternally die and they can just regenerate themselves back to full health but if their heart is destroyed while out of their body, they will eternally die and their existence shall be wiped from this world.

And now, goodbye.. I have no more information on the subject of permanent death as I could just give away my weakness, that would be bad.. yes?
