The stars are shining brightly in the night sky. Many of them are out tonight, scattered in the dark horizon like hundreds shards of diamonds. My hair is swaying with the wind, and the chills of it send shivers and goose bumps throughout my body, but it felt good, amazingly good. The ocean dances in calm waves as the barely seen lighthouse shines from a distance. The moon is like a shining golf ball in the dark sky. The lover's fountain is illuminated by the moonlight and the gush of water is music in my ears. The fireflies are wandering around the pathway of trees like Christmas lights.

To note it all, the view before me is so beautiful, breath-taking, a priceless moment to remember, considering the fact that Rio is sitting beside me, so remarkably close.

I can feel his warm, calm breath fanning my right cheek, his safe arms encircling me and protecting me from the coldness. My head is resting on his shoulders, burying it in the crook of his neck.

We were sitting on a blanket resting against the pebbled ground just beside the fountain. The look of this place beats any other view I had ever seen.

After waving goodbye to his mom, he towed me towards the cliff and settled us here to gaze at the stars. I'm still quite dazzled by his performance before.

This is the perfect night to tell Rio that I love him. I never told him how I felt; it's as if whenever the chance was there ready for me to grab it, I can't help but to stammer and stutter, ending with awkward and foolish things I keep on saying and never the three words I truly wanted to. So this is it, its time t...

"Trisha?" his sweet voice broke my thoughts.

"Huh?"

"Have I told you how amazing you look tonight?"

"Many times, actually" I said with sarcasm but with a hint of blush.

"Well, I'm going to say it again. You look beyond stunning tonight, beyond words can describe, deeper than the songs we sing, higher than the stars we were gazing. You are my angel Trisha, and I'll never get tired of saying it. The end of forever may commence, but always remember that my forever lasts even after eternity itself" he said those beautiful words and once again, I was tongue-tied. My I love you was stocked in my throat yet again.

"Wh-Why a-are you saying th-those things?" I stammered.

"I just wanted you to know those things, how much I can give, how far my heart can stretch just to hold you"

"U-Uhm" I need to tell him, I need to let him know that I feel the same way, maybe even more, come on Trisha! Sadly, I can't open my stupid mouth, I'm melting here in his embrace and dazed by his stare.

"Wow! Trisha look!" he pointed towards the dark sky. I looked to where he was pointing at and saw the dance of meteors marking their path brightly before fading abruptly in the horizon.

"Meteor rain..." I whispered and continued to admire the once in a blue moon phenomena.

Rio fidgeted in our embrace. He clasped our hands together gently, lifted it like what we do when we pray, and closed his eyes. I broke my gaze to the meteors and focused on Rio. His face looks peaceful but pleading, determined but scared. What was he praying about?

After what seems like days, he finally opened his eyes and what I saw there in his striking eyes scared me. His eyes were glassy, like they really need to cry. There's so much sadness and fear in them. Before I could question him, he looked up above and said,

"They say dreams come true when you wish upon a falling star right? How I wish the stars up above really had that capability. There are so many things in this world that only miracles can heal"

"What do you mean? You know, you're so unpredictable tonight"

"Nothing, that thought just crossed my mind" he said with a sigh. He freed our tangled hands but kept his right arm secured around my waist.

"It's ten already, I'll take you home" he stood and pulled me up to my feet and fixed the blanket before taking my hand and headed to the path leading down the cliff.

My planned confession was a fail, definitely tragic. The words I wanted to say was repressed after numerous attempts.

We just talked bout insignificant things on the way to my home. But it's a comfortable to do, one of my favorite moments with Rio. Every single moment with him is a moment to be treasured. His presence alone should be cherished for he is an angel, my personal angel.

My mom tackled me right after Rio left and asked for details. I happily and dazedly told her all of it.

"Oh Trisha, I'm so happy for you! he is a good boy and you are perfect together!" my mom squealed.

"No mom, he's the best man, not just a boy, and we're not perfect together, we are destined for each other..." I said, my eyes automatically shutting and dreams of the future with Rio came flooding on my mind.

My mom sighed and when I looked at her, she has a warm smile gracing her face and a kind eye that only mothers could have for their child.

"Someone got it bad! I'm glad you found your true love; you're growing up so fast. Oh honey, come here and give your mom a big hug!" she said as tears rimmed on her lids.

"Oh mom, I love you, thank you"

As I lay on my bed, replying the perfect evening with my wonderful angel, I can't help the smile tugging on the corners of my mouth. My mind can't help but think of the deep words he said, the actions he made. Tonight, I saw the sweet, romantic, but secretive Rio.

My heart tells me that something wasup, something was definitely wrong, but what could possibly be it? Everythingis in perfect harmony isn't it?
