Chapter 17: Treason

Y/N's POV

Me and Woojin continue our course back to Hickam Air Force Base, I play that we can convince the Commanding Officer to launch an operation to capture my parents.

"Woojin, why did you leave us? And join them?" I asked him.

"Well, like I said it's a long story." He replied to me.

"We still got time," I said to him and he nodded.

After listening to what I've said, he goes on to tell me that he left the guard because he was curious to see if vampires and other mythical creatures existed when my parents came and offered him a job. He immediately takes the opportunity.

From there, he leaves the guard and joins them as a scientist but he never knew the atrocities they've caused until recently. When he found out I was being held here, he tells me that he had to do something about it.

"I see, thank you very much for getting me out of here," I said to him.

"Don't worry, it was the right thing to do." He replied to me.

*beeping*

I looked at the instruments in the cockpit, it was an incoming transmission. We must've entered inside prohibited airspace.

Next, two F-22 Raptors flew next to us, one on the right and the other on the left.

"Attention, unidentified Blackhawk, this is restricted airspace! Leave now or be destroyed!" The officer warned me and I turned on the communications on my helmet.

"Hold on there officer, this is Captain Y/N Lee of Gold Squadron, service number 4781005213. Do you copy?" I explained to the two officers and there was a pause.

"We read you, Gold Leader, welcome back! We've been worried about you! You have permission to land on platform 32. Copy?" The officer replied to me.

"Copy that, Officer, thank you for your help," I said to him.

The patrol fighters escorted us to Hickam Air Force Base until we reached the landing pad, I positioned the Blackhawk to where we are right below it, and finally slowly lowered ourselves until the landing wheels make contact with the ground.

I turned off the rotors and the flight crew came and helped us get out, Woojin had to go to the police station to go through interrogation while I was escorted to the admin building.

One of the crew chiefs drove me there by golf cart, when we arrived, I hopped off and thanked him. I enter the building and everyone had eyes on me.

"Ah, welcome back, Captain Lee! Please go to the Colonel's office, he eagerly awaits to talk to you." The receptionist informs me and I nodded.

I go to the office as instructed, I got to his office and knocked on the door before entering inside.

"Captain Y/N, I've been worried sick about you! I was beginning to think you've deserted." He greeted me and we shook hands.

"Don't worry, sir, I'm not that type of person," I assured him.

"Indeed, and I heard now that you've escaped from the hands of the Lee Criminal Syndicate. That was quite courageous of you." He said to me but I shook my head.

"No, sir, I had help from one of their own, Kim Woojin. He helped me escape from the lab and if weren't for him, I wouldn't be here." I explained to him.

"Yes, of course! Don't worry, he'll be rewarded for this and for the intel he's currently providing for us." He said to me.

"He deserves it, but what about my parents? I want to capture and put them to face justice as soon as possible!" I asked him and he sighed.
