Chapter 18: The Final Confrontation

Chaesol's POV

Ever since Tzuyu went down to the bunker, we've been holding ourselves inside the main lobby, many of us are injured. 

At this rate, if nobody shows up, we're all dead and there will be no chance of us escaping even if we go inside the woods. 

Those lunatics can still track us with their advanced technology. I put the bandage on one of my members, she was bleeding from a gunshot wound. It was bloody and gruesome but others were more severely wounded.

When I got done attending to Chloe and the rest of her wounds, Tzuyu came upstairs with a frown on her face.

"Well, did you manage to get a hold of anyone?" I asked her. 

"I can't tell, I got the message out to everyone including the military but I got no response," Tzuyu answered me and I deeply sighed. 

"In that case, all we can do now is hope," Irene tells us while observing the enemy from the window. 

All of a sudden, another rocket hits the building causing concrete and dust to spew everywhere inside and many of us coughed from inhaling the debris. 

The longer we stay here... The more likely we will all die here... 

We waited around for who knows how long, I looked at the clock that had landed on the ground but still works, it was the afternoon now, and this desperate fight has probably lasted for hours by now.

Author's POV

Outside the Lee's were getting impatient and they couldn't spare any more time without the risk of authorities showing up. 

They've planned for this, what they've done is bribed the top military officials to delay permission to launch an operation to capture them, they wished they could've stopped it but it would be suspicious. Even though half of their equipment had been destroyed, they continued. 

Then, Mr. Lee had an idea, they ordered his men to bring out three vampire prisoners who so happened to be Lee Gahyeon, Kim Jisoo, and Kim Sihyeon, the three missing vampires that were mentioned in the news.

Next, Mr. Lee takes a megaphone from one of his men and turns it on.

"Attention, monsters that roam on this island! Since you all decide to hide like cowards and I'm getting impatient! I have three of your kind, right there!" Mr. Lee tells them and the vampires could only look with horror in their eyes when they see their friends handcuffed and bruised from brutal torture and experimentation. 

"Now, I'm giving you all a deal! If you don't come out, I will not hesitate to order my men to open fire on them! But I might just spare their lives along with yours if you come out quietly." Mr. Lee with a wicked grin on his face.

Irene along with Mr. Kang was now faced with a hard decision, they both knew that they can't be trusted as they would kill them anyway, which is probably true. 

Regardless, they cannot let the three vampire girls die thus leaving them with no other choice. 

One by one they all came out and both Mister and Misses Lee smirked as their plan had worked perfectly. They ordered the soldiers to take them all prisoner, at least for now... 

All of them were on their knees. They all felt helpless as they figured that nobody is coming. 

"Excellent, that wasn't so hard now, was it?" Mr. Lee sarcastically asked before getting out of the humvee along with his wife.
