Chapter 7: Garden Date with Jennie

Y/N's POV

Today is my day-off from work today meaning that I can do whatever I want. Yeah! Looks like I'm going to Koko head range to shoot some targets up.

I was going to my room and unlocking the safe until I heard the doorbell ringing which caught my attention. I go downstairs and open the door revealing to be Jennie Kim herself with a smile on her face.

"Hey, Y/N~! Are you ready for our date~?" She asked me and I sighed.

Oh right... I forgot that today is my day with Jennie...

"You didn't forget, did you?" She asked me in an angry tone which sent chills down my spine.

"W-What?! Of course not!" I lied to her and her eyes turned red before storming inside my house and pinning me to the wall.

"You're going to get punished, real hard... Ya hear me?" She asked me and I gulped.

I braced myself for the worse until I heard a laughing sound and I opened my eyes to see that Jennie was only laughing her ass off. Wait, what?

"Bahahaha, you should've seen the look on your face!!!!" Jennie said before hysterically laughing and I groaned.

"Oh, lighten up, my dear because I've already planned for our date." She said to me before patting my head.

"Where do you plan on going?" I asked her.

"The Hoʻomaluhia Botanical Garden. We're going to enjoy nature and take some pictures." She answered me and I nodded.

I go upstairs to get changed into more clothes that would be suitable for going outside and head downstairs where Jennie was waiting for me. 

I grabbed the car keys and we went into the garage where we got inside my Mustang. Man, I love this thing. I insert the keys into the ignition switch and I drive ourselves out of the garage.

We went on our way to the botanical garden which is pretty far from Hickam to Kaneohe. It took me about 20 minutes to reach the botanical garden and I parked into an open stall.

"Wait, isn't your skin going to burn?" I asked her but she shook her head.

"Nope, that's just a myth, sweetheart otherwise I wouldn't have planned for us to go here." She answered me and I nodded.

We got out of the car and I locked the doors. We went into the visitors center and we checked in with the workers before we went on our way into the garden.

The place is beautiful and peaceful, no wonder why people like coming here. Just to admire the scenery and the beauty of nature.

Even though Jennie made me take alot of pictures of her, I wasn't really bothered by it because I was too focused on the serenity. When we finally reached the spot where there was a lake surrounded by the lush and healthy plants.

"Wah! It's so pretty!" Jennie said while admiring the lake.

Meanwhile, I was just admiring her beauty, these vampires are surely something else and they are more sincere and truthful than actual humans. Myself, I never really looked for love as I was too busy focusing on my own career.

I guess the time will soon come that I'll one day have to settle down with one of them. Just not the way I expected.

I was too busy deep into my own thoughts that I hadn't realized I spaced out which made Jennie concerned. She turned around and walked up to me before connecting her forehead to mine and it still hasn't snapped me out of my trance.

"You're thinking about your love life, aren't you?" She asked me and I snapped back into reality.

I got startled by how close we are in skin contact with each other but I never moved a muscle. Jennie stared deep into my eyes like she's looking into my own head.

"How did you know?" I calmly asked her.

"Hehe, one of our unique abilities is that we can see and read what other people are thinking." She explained to me before she continued whatever she was doing.

"Wow, you really are a deep thinker aren't ya?" She asked me before giggling.

"Yeah, ever since I immigrated here on this island." I answered her.

"I see, because you were running away from your toxic family and you started a new life here." She replied to me.

After that, she disconnected our foreheads and smiled at me once more.

"Just you know, Y/N, even if you don't choose me to be your wife. I'll still support you and whoever you choose." She assured me.

"Thanks, Jennie. Still, the games are far from over, isn't it?" I asked her and she nodded.

"Yep, we have a long way to go. Until then, let's just relax for a little bit." She answered me before sitting down on the grass.

I also sat down on the grass beside her and we enjoyed the scenary of the lake, the sun was shining down onto the lake making the lake water shine brightly into our eyes and seeing the reflection of the clear sky. 

We stayed there until it was late afternoon and the garden is going to close soon. We got up from our spots and walk back to the visitors center. We were having a nice and casual conversation with each other. 

We reached to my car but however, I see a strange hooded figure which raised me and Jennie's alarm. 

I also sat down on the grass beside her and we enjoyed the scenery of the lake. The sun was shining down onto the lake making the lake water shine brightly into our eyes and seeing the reflection of the clear sky.

We stayed there until it was late afternoon and the garden is going to close soon. We got up from our spots and walked back to the visitors center. We were having a nice and casual conversation with each other.

We reached my car but however, I saw a strange hooded figure which raised me and Jennie's alarm.

"Hey, what do you think you're doing?" I called out to him and he looked at me before running away.

"That was strange." Jennie commented before we went to the car.

I inspected my Mustang to make sure he didn't steal anything onto the car and everything checked out and all parts were accounted for which made me sigh in relief.

We forget about the bizarre encounter and got inside the car. I put gears into reverse in order to get out of the parking stall. I put the gears in forward and drive into the road.

It took me 20 minutes to get back to my house before I pulled into the garage. The doors closed behind us and we got out of the car. I looked at the clock and it was already near midnight.

"Alright, that's it for my time with you, next will be Lia but I'm not quite sure what she would want to do with you." She explained to me.

"Okay, have a goodnight." I said to her and she walked up to me before kissing my lips for a good ten seconds before letting me go.

"Have a nice night, Y/N." She said to me before disappearing into the night.

Jennie and Chaesol, so far the competition is pretty tough and at this rate there's a chance that I might not be able to decide which one would take this point... I guess only fate will decide.
