It would be great to say I spent my morning revisiting my memories of my conversation with Luhan, but the vision only goes too far as to remind me he doesn't like me after seeing me with Kai. Everyday, I can only hope that my day will go smoothly without any encounter with the people on my hate list. And today, was one day I hope my path steered clear from those people. Oh, how ironic my life is. As if everything was centered around me.

It all began that morning, when my mom decided to ask about last night's events.

We were sitting in the kitchen enjoying our morning breakfast of eggs and bacon.

"Sweety, what time did you come home last night?" She asked casually before shoving a forkful of bacon into her mouth.

"Mph...I-mph...round..mhmm..10..thirty," I said between chews.

Okay maybe, I was slightly avoiding the question. But I've never stayed out that late before, I didn't how innocent mom was going to react to that.

"Was it fun?" Mom nonchalantly asked.

"Yeah, it was alright." If only Kai didn't show up and tried to molest me, it was a pretty awesome night.

Oh right, Luhan was there too. Never mind, it sucked.

"Hm...really? I forgot to ask who's party it was?" She sounded a bit skeptical.

"Just some girl."

"Some girl?! Sweetheart, the last time you've actually went out of the house to socialize was in kindergarten, and that was because she nagged at you everyday during recess."

My mother eyed me with concern at my choice of words. I just shrugged.

"Is she your new friend? What's her name?" She asked this time a little less frustrated.

"She's not my friend, mom. Can we please drop this topic?" I pleaded.

There was an awkward silence between us, as we just continued eating.

Finally, my mom dropped her fork and stared at me with sympathetic eyes.

"Sweetheart, I know that was a lot to ask from you. It's not easy to change schools from a place where you already knew your classmates. But Cindy's a great friend of mine, who's found herself in a tight situation. I heard the school was about to shut down because of it's bankruptcy. I wanted to help her, without getting my hands too deep into the water. I'm sorry you got dragged into this as well. That's why it'll make me feel less guilty if you found more friends at this school."

She looked like she was going to cry and I didn't know how to react to that.

"Mom, by the looks of it I'm pretty sure your daughter will be most popular girl in school sooner or later." I was laughing inside. "You'll just have to let time take it's course, so people will find out about my funky personality."

That made her smile. "Atleast, I can see you're trying."

I imitated her smile and got up from my seat to put away the dishes. I was thinking of getting some fresh air and going shopping a bit to ease my mind.

"Hey mom, I'm going to go out later, is there anything you need me to pick up?"

"Nope, but as a reward for your efforts. Here." She handed me a $50 bill.

AFTER I changed out of my pj's into a more appropriate attire, I decided to walk to a nearby park. It was a sunny day for a Sunday. Ahaha. See what I did there? And it would've been a perfect day for a picnic date with the love of your life. I had neither a picnic basket with me, nor a date which I thought was a big waste of the beautiful day.
