Okay. One step. Sena, take another step it'll be fine.
No, it won't. Sena, stop don't go just turn around.
My inner battle was starting to take over me. But what am I supposed to do? Taemin was sitting there. And if I made my way to sit there too, oh boy, is shit about to go down. I don't understand, I already told him about the wolf pack and the cruel things they did to me. But why is he still sitting there?
I decided to go with my first choice, and took another step closer to Oppa. After much more steps, I reached my destination and slowly set my tray down.
"Uhmm..." I started.
My eyes darted between him and everyone else in the cafeteria who were apparently staring at me.
"What? Sit down." Was his response.
I did as I was told.
"So...Oppa, you know how like in movies every table has a specific label for a group of people? And like all the popular and nerdy people sit in their own respected areas. And then it gets to a scene where it's the climax of the story coz suddenly the poor bullied girl sits in the popular table.
"Your point is?"
"YEAH THATS HAPPENING RIGHT NOW! To me." I hissed.
"No it's not. This is the right table I checked."
"What do you mean?"
"The guys told me to sit here."
"What guys?" I raised an eyebrow to his question.
"My...friends." He started slowly before looking up to me.
"Oppa, this is the Wolf Pack's table. Remember? I told you yesterday. "
Okay, so I was beginning to get irritated. I mean come on. Do you have no sympathy? They bullied me. Well kind of. Okay maybe just the girls. But seriously this is not working out.
"Well where do you usually sit?"
"No where. Or the bathroom." If I can get a stall... Aha. Cheeky smile.
"The bathroom? Are you seriously that bullied?" Now, he's starting to sound like a jerk.
"What the hell? After all I told you yesterday. Are you kidding me?"
I heard him exhale. His eyes met mine again.
"That's not what I meant to say. You're stronger than this. Why? Why are you letting them walk over you like that?"
"I don't know coz I'm sick of pretending to be strong when deep down I'm crumbling apart." It came out sharper than how much I meant it.
I got up to leave with my tray in hand before I felt his hand grip my wrist.
"You're staying." He demanded.
"I'm not." I can be firm too.
"Sena, I just want to introduce you to my friends." He sounded more sincere this time.
"If you're friends with them, I don't know if I can be friends with you."
His eyes filled with pain at my words. And I regretted it. That wasn't meant to come out. I was just so caught up in snarky comebacks. He let go of my wrist. I turned to leave when I heard a small voice from him.
"I think they're good people hiding behind bad intentions. I know you're a good person who can change people's bad behaviors. Please stay, for me."
He sounded so much like an adult. My gosh. And to think I listened to him.
I set down my tray once more, before letting out a groan, "ughh. Fine I'll stay."
