(Amber's POV)
Nasa lobby palang ako ramdam ko na ang tensyon sa paligid ko kaya nagmadali akong pumunta sa office ko dahil sigurado akong may kinalaman ito kay Sir Zach at hindi nga ako nagkamali nang makita ko sya sa loob.
Everyone panicked including me. Kelan pa kaya sya nakabalik? Kahapon lang ay magka-usap pa kami at wala naman syang binabanggit na uuwi na sya.
Dumiretso ako sa office nya at bumungad sakin ang mga maleta nya and he also looks pale and tired.
"Don't tell me na dito ka dumiretso mula Thailand?" Tanong ko pero tinitigan nya lang ako while he's reading a file in his table.
"What happened? How about you and Ellie?" Tanong ko naman agad.
"Amber please, can we not talk about it? And can you focus on your job instead of getting involved with my personal matters? " he said and sounds irritated and mad. I was stunned that I couldn't even move. He had never acted this way before.
"Aren't you leaving?" He asked kaya lumabas nalang ako agad kaysa mas lalo pang mag-init ang ulo nya.
Since then, he started to act differently, he immersed himself in work, and we also have to work our asses off even if it was almost Christmas.
(Ellie's POV)
Singapore 12.24.25
"Ellie are you alright?" Daniel impedes my thoughts in the middle of our meal.
"Of--of course, I-i-i'm fine" I said stuttering and act as if I'm fine.
"What's wrong with you? you're always not in yourself" he asked and right, it's been days since then but everything is still fresh. I can still feel every sensation; his touch, his breath behind my neck, his whispers and everything that happened that night. It was crazy,and I was crazy. I can't face Daniel without feeling guilty, I'll be marrying him soon pero nagkakaganito pa ako.
Daniel was invited for a Christmas Ball but he chose to spend Christmas na kaming dalawa lang in Singapore and I'm really grateful for the thought but I can't spend Christmas like this, The guilt is killing me kaya naisipan ko na sabihin nalang sakanya over dinner.
"Babe, may gusto sana akong sabihin sayo" sabi ko naman sakanya habang kumakain kami at agad nya naman binaba ang kubyertos nya and he gave me his full attention.
I hope that he won't get mad at whatever I'm about to say.
"H-honestly, Si-si Zach talaga ang kasama kong pumunta sa Chiang Mai" panimula ko and I was expecting na mabibigla sya or get mad but he just took a deep breathe.
"So what happened in Chiang Mai?" tanong nya lang.
"Na settle na namin yung divorce agreement, He already signed it." paliwanag ko pa.
"Really? Wala ba naging problema?" Tanong nya ulit as he started picking up his cutlery at dahan-dahang hiniwa ang steak nya.
"Wala naman" tipid kong sagot.
"Well that's impressive, I though he's gonna fight me just to win you back" pabiro nya pang sagot pero nararamdaman ko that he's not okay with it. He's faking a smile right now.
"Yan din yung akala ko but don't worry, nag-usap lang kami to end things nicely" paliwanag ko nalang at nagpatuloy narin kumain.
"Wow, that's a very good news. So, pwede na pala tayo mag set ng date for our wedding since he signed it already" sagot pa nya at napatango nalang ako.
"Should we have our wedding bago ako bumalik sa New Zealand?" dagdag nya naman na kinabigla ko.
"W-when do you prefer?"
