This chapter parallels the end of chapter 12 then continues from there. It is the person the beast/guardian/king(?) was connection too's pov.

"What. What. What. It never sent me any coordinates. What am I supposed to do. Is any of this real. Just a figment of my imagination perhaps? My parents always do say I have a wild imagination."

He paused.

"But it's just in my mind randomly! As if I can hear it... but I can't at the same time"

Then the coordinates were sent.

"It... Sent me coordinates in my brain again. Ok remember them. Put them into Google maps. Come on, come on."

He entered the correct coordinates into Google maps on his phone, and it sure brung up an ominous location.

A volcano.

"A volcano!?"

"Not too far from me actually. It's dormant, thankfully. So it should be fine. May as well give this a shot. I never knew a dormant volcano was nearby. Well, not near. But quite close enough. I can take just a few trains to get there!"

He paused and thought.

"What am I going to tell my parents? It's just a school trip?"

Yes. This person it is connecting too is just a child. No older than 10 surely.

Soon after, he has thought of a reasonable excuse for his parents. He was 'sleeping at a friend's'. This surely wouldn't take more than a day.

He left immediately and took a few trains, until he was eventually in a walkable distance.

As he walked closer to the volcano, he noticed it didn't really look like one. Covered in nature, and way smaller than you would imagine a volcano. It looked more like a hill. But with a hole in the top.

He didn't really know if any of this was real. He didn't really know what he was doing.

But yet still he climbed up the volcano. It didn't take long to reach the top safely. That's when he realized there was step like things made of rock, leading into it.

"What's the worst that can happen" he told himself as he cautiously made his way town the steps, into the depths of the monster.

Eventually reaching a floor like thing, or a platform. He paused. He wouldn't go any deeper than this.

People had been here before. There seemed to be walls and pavements carved out. And weird symbols.

He stood and waited it to connect.

Then he heard in his brain it's voice. Saying well done. And thank you. It was about to regain its memories. It would be over soon.

End of chapter 13
Thanks for reading! This is a different pov again, and like chapter 11 there is little detail about this character and the world and stuff as that will be explored when finalised in the big story I have planned. This is just a little backstory/prologue 'before' basically.

But I think this will end in a couple of chapters now!
