(Laura's POV)
After leaving the library, me & remus walked back to the Griffindor common room expecting to walk into a quiet space but instead we walked into a party as much as I am annoyed no one throws a party like Griffindor dose. The portrait closed behind us, followed by none other than James, sirius, and Peter to stand up on a tabel and call for me and remus to come join them.
My god, this was only my first day, and it had gone totally off track. As soon as I and remus made it through the crowd and on the tabel, I noticed it wasn't a random party, It was a welcome one for me. My heart filled with joy people i had only just met and were willing to throw a party for me they were being so nice.
"We thought you might like a party on your first day at hogwarts. So we had Remus distract you while we put this together."
"Thank you. I can't believe you guys did this for me." I smile slightly.
As the night passed by, we all danced got drunk. Eventually, sirius and I found each other, and a slow song came on 'can't help failing in love by Elvis Presly.' we started to slow dance. Everyone around them stopped and watched them. And after the song had finished, they parted, realising that everyone was watching them.
"How long have they been watching us?" Laura wisperd to the boy front of her
"I don't have a clue."sirius responded in a calm voice.
"I'm gonna ." I say, slowly pointing behind me, backing away awkwardly before running off.
-TIME SKIP-
The next morning, I wake up in a room by myself (because of who my brother is, and everyone thinks I'm like him. No one wants to share a room. I don't blame them. I don't mind, though. Iflike the quiet, plus im used to being alone i always have been solitaire.) I go to my bathroom and look at my 'bed head' in the mirror. I get ready and start to walk down the stairs and see 4 boys 1 sitting trying to read a book and failing because 2 of the boy throwing what looks like a candle to each other and the other boy trying to write something while not looking amused. As I get to the bottom of the staircase, I hear a familiar voice say.
"Laura, come here."
I turned around to see the 4 friendly faces I had met the day prior.
"Hi boys." I said shyly as I walked over to the fireplace where the 4 were sat.
"What are u lot up to."
"Not much, just waiting for our favourite girl," Remus said with a light blush take over a majority of his face, seeing the smile it puts on the girls face.
-TIME SKIP-
(Remus POV)
Me, sirius, peter and james were sat in our dorm talking about enything and everything when the topic of what we thought of the first girl to be classed as a marader. Laura.
"So what do you guys think of her?" sirius said.
"Who?" Peter said mouth full of various sweets and chocolates.
"What do you mean 'who?'. Laura. Dipshit."
Sirius said as if it was the most obvious thing ever.
Just the pure mention of her made me smile. Apparently, I'm not the only one who gets giddy about Laura. On the bed next to me, sirius sat with a large smile plastered along his face, and it looked like it wasn't leaving anytime soon.
"I like her. She seems nice." James said not to bother about Laura. The only girl on his mined was Lily Evens.
"I think she's rather pretty." I said, not thinking.
"Oh, moonys got a crush," the other three boys laughed.
