// Dave's POV //

I was walking home from work, it was raining so I had to use my umbrella. Thankfully I took it with me or I would've been soaked by now.

There was a small shadow underneath a tree, it looked oddly familiar. "Is that..?", I squinted to take a closer look, "BAMBI!" His eyes shot up at me, he looked absolutely terrified.

"WHAT HAPPENED?!? ARE YOU ALRIGHT?!" He just shook his head, my heart sank more than ever before. I threw the umbrella to the side and hugged him tightly.

His body was drenched in a cold sweat, I had to take him away from here, it's raining way too much.

It was hard to push my wheelchair fast enough with Bambi on my lap, I had to make it home or he would freeze to death.

Tears dripped down my face, I couldn't believe this happened. He was gripping onto me and crying very silently with his face on my shirt. It broke me seeing him like this.

I didn't realize we were a few seconds away from going inside. The door swung open and I gently, but hurriedly placed him on the couch. I dashed into my room and snatched the biggest blanket I had.

He was still shivering. "There there, you're safe with me now. No one's gonna hurt you if your big ol' boyfriend is around!"

I tried grinning at Bambi to at least make him feel a little better. His breathing slowed a bit, good.

"Do you still need some time sweetie? I know how hard it was to see you in that state. Just let me know whatever you need, okay?"

He looked up at me, there were small tears pricking at the corner of his eyes, but they wouldn't come out.

"I—I g—g—got kic—kicked ou—t and... he, yell—ed at m—m—me..." I held him close and hummed a song we would usually listen together.

He began crying into my chest and let it all out. "It's okay, just breathe with me, everything will be alright." His eyes dilated, it looks like he's feeling better.

"I'll always be by your side, no matter what. I love you so much, Bambi." A small grin appeared on his face. I felt so happy in that moment, yet I still had an aching pain in my heart.

I care a lot for Bambi, he shouldn't have gone through this. "Are you ready to tell me, my little teddy bear?" A hint of blush grew on his cheeks.

"Well, I— Expunged and I had an argument because he found out I was gay. It turned out even worse when he heard I was dating you. It was, traumatizing..." He was frowning now,

"He cursed me out with names that you don't even wanna imagine. I was too upset to say anything back, so he grabbed me and threw me out the front door. That's when I hid under that tree and waited for, pretty much anything."

Both of my hands covered my mouth in shock. It hurt so much hearing that. Bambi chuckled nervously and proceeded to hug me. I almost suffocated from the great amount of sobbing.

"It's over now, we don't need to deal with him anymore. Let's just stay together, Dave." His hand rubbed my back in circles, it felt soothing.

I hiccuped here and there, trying to calm down. My energy went down and I was starting to get sleepy. Bambi laid me down on my back and he laid his head on my chest.

"Thank you for listening Dave, you have no idea how much it means to me." Those are the words I wanted to hear. "You were literally stranded Bambi! I would never leave you by yourself like that. I would've been a cold hearted bastard who doesn't give a shit if I did."

He giggled at what I said and sat up. "Yeah true, I'm just glad you know." I held him closer and kissed his cheek. He blushed and looked away in embarrassment. "I love you Bambi."
