"Last night, a man was found dead at---"

You grab your coffee mug and take a sip, thoughts lingering in your mind. One thought was, what exactly had happened last night?

The only thing you remember was after eating dinner, Aether had taken you home. It was a big blur after that. It bothers you a lot.

Maybe I should ask Aether later...

You sighed. You should probably get dressed, wouldn't wanna be late do we?

"On another note, CEO Asmoday has created another product---"

You shut off the TV and go straight to the bathroom to take a nice bath. You fill the tub with water and add soap for bubbles. You step in and let yourself get enveloped in the bubbly water.

TEYVAT.®

You surprisingly made it to work early. You could practically see the sun rising. Maybe you should've checked the time before you left, you could have gotten ready better.

You walk to your desk, only to be stopped by a co-worker. You remember her name was Anne, she had helped you with a few things in the past.

"Oh, good day Anne. Do you need anything?" You asked, you hope she isn't here to give you any bad news. You didn't need it this early in the morning.

"Good day Y/N. If you could, can you possibly deliver this to sir Dainsleif?" She asked quite fearfully. She was shivering out of fear. This Dainsleif guy scared the lights out of her. You have heard that he liked to yell at other co-workers. But, you didn't believe those rumors.

Rumors are rumors after all. But it seems like it had made a few workers afraid of him. You hadn't met him. He was a part of the Khaenri'ah project. You didn't know anything about it except for a few of its members. Kaeya is a member too, maybe that's why he's so shady.

You nodded and took the file from her hand. She thanked you happy that she wouldn't have to meet him. You walked to the elevator and pressed up.

His office was on the 40th floor it really isn't that far up from the 30th floor, so it wouldn't be that of a hassle. The elevator opened, and no one was in it. Thank god, you didn't want to interact with anyone right now.

You got in and pressed the button for the 40th floor. The elevator started playing smooth tunes while you were waiting. You hummed to the music of the elevator, and as well as tapped your feet.

That eventually stopped once the doors opened. You stepped out and began finding his office. It wasn't that hard to find, since it was only in room 14.

You knocked on the door, "Come in!" You heard him say. You opened the door and took in your surroundings. His office was fairly clean, with a few stacks of papers here and there.

"What do you need?" He was staring at the paper he had in hand, not bothering to look at you. You honestly didn't mind that, it isn't bothering you nor is it making work harder for you.

"Anne asked me to bring this to you." And that's when he finally decided to look at you. He didn't notice that it was you who came in, only when you spoke did he realize.

He nodded and took the file that was in your hands. He then signaled for you to leave. You took it and left, quite quickly if I may add.

You sighed and pressed the up button on the elevator. It opened and you got it, you didn't bother to look and see if anyone was in it. That visit to Dainsleif's office made you feel down. You didn't know why.

"Y/N! Oh, why are you sad? Frowns do not look good on you." A familiar enthusiastic voice called out to you from the side of the elevator.

"Please don't mind him Ms. Y/N. He's been eager to see you." Another voice sighed and scolded his friend.

It was Venti and Dvalin. You wouldn't imagine seeing them here. You put on a smile, "Hello Venti. Good morning to you Dvalin." You greeted quietly.

"Y/N! Did you see the note I put on your desk?" Venti eagerly asked, not minding the scolds Dvalin had been giving him. Oh god, you forgot about it! You didn't see it on your desk after giving the file to Mona.

"Sorry, I forgot... I'll treat you to breakfast tomorrow, as an apology." You said slyly, hoping he wouldn't get mad at you. Tomorrow was also a perfect day since it was the weekend.

He nodded eagerly to your suggestion. You weren't able to make a remark because the elevator had opened to your floor.

Welp, time to go back to work.
