          The ship was quiet as the Ares vi crew slept soundly. Stars twinkled like a million night lights just outside the ship. Only thin pieces of metal stood between the small safety of the ship and the unknown. Bucky woke up first, blinking a few times before getting out of his space sleeping bag. He made his way over to you with a smile.

"Sweetheart," He whispered as he pressed a kiss to your forehead. "Wake up, I want to show you something."

You slowly woke up, and Bucky helped you get out of your sleeping bag. You clung to him like a koala once you were freed, and he chuckled softly. Eventually, the both of you sat by a wide window, looking at the vastness of space. You and Bucky stared at the moon, watched as your ship trudged ever closer to it.

"You know I love you, right?" Bucky asked pulling you closer.

"Of course I do. That's a silly question."

He hummed. "If anything were to happen to me, can you promise me you'd move on?"

You slapped his chest playfully. "Don't talk like that! You're the only person for me, if you were to go, so would I."

He was about to retort, but something bumped the ship, causing you and Bucky to fall down, and an alarm to start blaring throughout the ship. The ship rocked again and you both rushed toward where the rest of the crew was. Steve, Sam, and Wanda were already getting out of their sleeping bags, and you all rushed to the control center.

"What's happening?" Bucky asked looking over Steve's shoulder.

Steve cursed and started to press different buttons. "Meteor strike. Multiple hits to the ship, and more to come. We need to get to the escape pods, now!"

Quickly putting on your astronaut suits, you all headed to the escape pods. You and Bucky headed to one while Steve, Sam, and Wanda headed to another. A meteor ripped through the spaceship, leaving a huge hole in its wake. Bucky pushed you ahead of him as another meteor hit.

"We need to go!" Bucky yelled before he tripped over a piece of debris and the hole out to space started to suction him out, leaving him to grip the side of the ship.

"Bucky!" You exclaimed reaching out for him. "Grab my hand."

His blue eyes widened as he looked between you and an incoming meteor. You shook your head.

"Bucky, don't do this, just grab my hand!"

"I love you, doll. Go to the moon for me." Then he jumped into the incoming meteor, pushing it away from where it was coming toward you.

"BUCKY!" You screamed as you saw him get taken away by rock and debris.

Tears blurred your vision as you screamed for Bucky again. Steve's voiced crackled on the inside of your helmet.

"Y/n! Get to a pod, now!"

You sobbed and clutched your chest. "I-I...can't. Bucky's...gone."

"Y/N! NOW!" Steve yelled, but you were to numb to move.

The rest happened so fast. A horrid groan of the ship. Debris everywhere. Pain. Indescribable pain. A crack in the helmet. Screaming. Then it all went black.

~~~~~
You were warm. So warm. A twinge of pain started to throb in your abdomen, and you heard the soft clanging of metal. Pots, maybe? You groaned and slowly opened your eyes. The lights were dimmed, and you noticed boots in the corner of the room. You tried to get up, but a sharp pain split through your body, and you hissed.
"Lay back down, babydoll. You're pretty banged up." A soft baritone voice rang out.
You quickly whipped your head toward the source of the voice. "B-bucky?"
He gave you a million-dollar smile. "Yeah."
"H-how? Y-you—"
He gently pushed you back down on the bed and kissed your forehead. "I know, baby. Just take it easy, okay? I'll explain everything."
"I love you." You said wrapping your arms around him for a kiss. "I didn't get to say it back earlier."
He hummed. "I love you, too. Speaking of love, that's the reason we're here."
You looked into his soft blue eyes. "Wh-what?"
"The all-knowing beings or whatever, they brought us here. They told me that they could feel the bond of our love and that they hadn't seen that in a long, long time. Our love transcended to them, and they felt it. They saved us." Bucky whispered into your hair as he hugged you.
"But where is here?" You asked looking around the room, now noticing some sort of alien design.
"Their planet, I guess."
"What about the rest of the crew?"
"The beings made sure they made it back to earth safely. Which brings up another thing."
"What?"
"We should have died, but our love saved us. Which means we have to stay here, where we can transcend the limits of time and reality."
You snuggled into his chest. "As long as I'm with you, I'm content."
He chuckled and quickly kissed your lips. "Sounds great to me, doll. Sounds great to me."
