❝I am becoming the best version of myself ❞
"Man, this shit confusing as fuck bro." Elias yelled out in frustration causing Siah to step back from the random outburst.
It was an early Saturday morning at the library as Siah assisted Elias with his paper that was due along with a few assignments that were assigned last week.
"It's okay it's just a few run-on sentences, nothing you need to worry about."
Elias nodded his head, he needed this done before practice later on today, He needed the extra practice since he's been focusing mostly on English.
"Ight thanks Monet." He said using her middle name, ever since he found out Siah's middle name, he'd been using it nonstop.
Siah quickly daps Elias up, as they walk out the library about to go their separate ways.
Although Elias and Niyana were cousins, she could definitely see the difference between them, and couldn't see how they were related.
"You should come to this kickback later." He suggested, Elias knew from their short time of knowing each other that she was a homebody and didn't really go out much.
"I don't know." She says with an unsure tone in her voice.
Elias nodded; he wasn't going to pressure her into something she didn't want to do because he knew how it felt to be pressured.
"I'll holla at you later." He said just as his phone rung, seeing it was a missed call from Jayla as he cursed inside his head.
Siah clutched her English books to her chest as she watched Elias walk off, tucking her lip into her mouth she couldn't help the burning feeling in her chest when she saw Jayla calling.
He's talked about her briefly, but Siah couldn't help but want Elias considering she'd only known him for 2 weeks.
She'd just have to be okay being friends with him because she's no one's second choice or side chick.
She immediately makes her way down the sidewalk towards her house, silence filling her thoughts for the first time in a long time she was feeling serene.
Sighing loudly when she gets into her driveway, she scrunches her nose up when she sees her mother's car in the driveway, she usually wasn't here in the afternoon which something Siah loved since she'd be at the house alone.
As she walks into the house, she smells cooking from the kitchen, causing her to make her way there, "Hey baby." Her greets her when she comes into sight.
