Edit: Lincoln wears shorts, not pants.
--------A loud gasp echoed in the room. Pink blasted all over Lucy's face like a paint ball splattered on her. "Y-you... Lynn... I- you mean-"
"You're a smart bot." Lucy recoiled away from him like he announced that he carried the bubonic plague. Why was he even disappointed? "You connect the dots together. Me and Lynn... and that stuff."
Through the curtain of her bangs, were blue eyes that were tainted with ruined innocence and shock. "But you... and Lynn... are siblings."
"Why do you think I wanted to hide it for as long as I could?" Lincoln crossed his arms with an unimpressed look. Was it bad that he didn't feel bad?
Maybe... but this was a taste of her own medicine. "Now you know... but don't say a word, got it?"
Lucy slowly nodded, before hastily grabbing the sweater and leaving the room.
Lincoln sighed, her sudden urgency to get out leaving a deep cut on his chest. What a great start to the morning.
Another headache was creeping in. Dang it.
Lincoln pulled out another pill from his pocket, swallow raw, wait for it to subside, repeat.
A weight was off his shoulders. To terrify his little sister was the last on his list of things to do, but for some reason, having that pestering curiosity nag at him gone was an enormous burden off his back. And the relief screamed louder than the remorse did.
His stomach grumbled. There's no use sleeping while carrying the knowledge that one of the girls know now. Might as well get some fuel for the whole day.
9 in the morning is what you'd call, the time of chaos. Because it's around here when all the Louds wake up at the same time and the whole house is brought to life. Despite how the family had changed into a somewhat calmer house, living with eleven children still knew no quiet anyway.
"Hey, Lincoln!" Lana walked to him with Hops on her overalls' pocket. "You're still wearing your pajamas!"
"Thanks for the reminder, Lana. I totally forgot." Lincoln chuckled. Technically, he wasn't lying. "What's up?"
"Wanna make mud pies with me later?" The seven-year-old asked with a pout. "It's been so long since you hung out with us."
Having no qualms on agreeing, Lincoln nodded with eagerness. It's nice to know that despite whatever's been happening nowadays, the world hasn't turned their back entirely. "Of course! As a treat, I might even make it extra special for you!"
Lana giggled when he poked her nose with a boop. "Okay Linc, thanks! See you around!"
On the right corner, babbling and squeaky giggles were heard. Lily was on the couch, the TV remote right beside her, with Blarney on its season 11 premier.
"Hey Lily," Lincoln sat himself beside the clapping Lily. Resting his crutches on the side, he grabbed Lily on the waist and propped her on top of his lap. "You wanna watch TV?"
"Bwarney!" Lily babbled.
Hehe. They all went through the Blarney phase ever since its prime. Lily was next in line. "It's fun, right?" Lincoln cooed, holding Lily's wrists and making her hands dance in the air while she entered a fit of giggles.
"Inkin! Best bwother!" Aww. Nobody ever said a baby's coo could melt a cold heart. It's like a gift that's been rediscovered.
"That's my Lily!" Lincoln cheered, before lips pressed softly against her supple cheeks.
