A couple of days had passed since "the incident" had occurred. Tony had decided to keep the kid in the Avengers tower for safety until they could find a more permanent solution, after all, the group home didn't seem to be the best option at the moment, with all the hustle and bustle that Peter had been through, and after all, no one could say no to the billionaire playboy philanthropist Tony Stark, aka. Iron man. But at least, here he had a warm bed and a place to stay.
Although it seemed like things were running smoothly, for Peter, he was struggling largely with the adaptation to change, normally every morning he'd go and make breakfast for May before getting all his chores done, but with Tony being, well Tony, it was already sorted for him, and usually the others would take turns making breakfast, so Peter didn't need to worry too much, at least that's what he thought. He had been off school for a week, after all he needed time to grieve. But that didn't come smoothly.
Peter slouched down to grab his bag, and prepared himself to get ready to go back to school. Yes, he was looking forward to seing MJ and Ned back in person once again, but this didn't come without it's hiccups, he still had to deal with Flash once again, and I am sure he would open his big fat mouth as per usual, that kid never shuts up and always creates trouble, no matter how much I tried to avoid him.
"Want a lift kid?" Tony asked, before getting ready to signal Happy to come and get the car out. Peter shook his head, not saying anything as he left the door. He sighed, before putting his headphones, always listening to My Chemical Romance of all things edgy as he prepared himself for the day ahead.
Tony himself sighed too "God I worry about that kid, he's too young to be going through such a tough time" he said before looking at Happy for advice. Happy wasn't the touchy, feely type, so he just shook his head and headed back to his office. Tony stuttered, surprised at Happy's response, but not expecting much, before heading back to his lab, he noticed Pepper was nearby and thought to himself, maybe she would have those answers.
"Hey Pepper, Peps, can I ask you a favour?" Tony said, almost sweating with embarrassment as he wasn't one for ask for help, infact he was known to be an introvert when he wasn't around the general public.
Pepper turned around, she was just heading to the kitchen to get some breakfast before heading out on more meetings "Sure, I'm guessing it's about Peter right?" she smirked, knowing full well it was, she almost had that instinct in her, she also knew Tony strongly, after years with working with him, so nothing much was a surprise to her really.
"Yeah, I do worry about that kid, I mean, no one wants to go through the death of a family member, let alone already loosing their parents at such a young age, and in such a brutal way too" he sighed, "I can't help but think he's going to struggle with opening up to us Pep, do you think it's worth putting a tracker on him? Just incase? He does seem to spend a lot of time in his room recently, but it's awfully quiet sometimes" he paused for one moment, not sure how she would react.
Pepper paused for one moment, turned around, and went straight back to Tony, holding his shoulders and slowly massaging them to try and make him relax. "I suppose that seems to be a good idea, after all teenagers will be teens" she giggled a bit to try and enlighten the mood. "And remember, he's a strong kid, I am sure we will get through this, together, as one big family" she smiled before heading into the other room, Tony smiling at knowing he was with the right person all along.
