"K-Kakashi?!"

Blood seeps down the mouth that speaks to him so vividly, almost in an echo.

"Kakashi!"

It becomes louder.

"Kakashi! Kakashi! Kakashi!"

She's screaming now. He can't bare it, but he can't move. He's stuck; frozen. Like he was there mentally but his body wasn't physically.

"Why!" She screams. The blood begins to ooze out of her eyes as well as she stares at him with dead, cold eyes. Nothing like those warm dots he was normally used to looking at.

"WHY DID YOU KILL ME?!"

"IM SORRY!"

Kakashi jolted awake as if he had been electrocuted, screaming. He breaths rapidly in a futile attempt to gain his breath and grips his chest harshly. It felt like he was getting stabbed there repeatedly over and over.

"Kakashi! Kakashi! Are you alright?!" He feels his body being shook but he could only see the image of his dead teammate staring back at him.

It wasn't until a slap to the face that he realized that entire time he had been screaming. He finally came back to his senses, finding that the one who had smacked him was Urokodaki.

He looked at Tanjiro looking worried beside him. His voice was the one I heard.

"Get a hold of yourself, Kakashi." Urokodaki orders, his voice as firm as always.

Kakashi tried to do so, grabbing his aching head with a hand. "What happened?" He asks.

"I'll tell you in the morning." Urokodaki says, straightening himself before standing up without a sound. "You need rest. Go back to sleep."

"Why were you screaming, Kakashi?" Tanjiro asks with a worried look on his face.

Kakashi looks at him back. Those eyes. So Obito like. It was a sad sight for him to see.

"Leave him be, Tanjiro." Urokodaki interrupts. "He needs rest, and so do you. You have another long day of training ahead of you. Go back to sleep."

Tanjiro nodded and laid back down and soon he was asleep.

Kakashi didn't have that luxury. In the dead of the night, all he could see where the dead faces of his teammates and he could hear their voices play over and over as if on recording. It was never ending, almost enough to drive someone mad. But Kakashi endured in silence with half litted eyes. All he could do was endure.

A particular bad memory flashed in his mind and he winces outwardly in pain. That flash was the start of an aching headache that had set in fast. He gripped his head viciously, as if he were trying to pull out his hair just to make the pain go away.

He shifted on his side and cradled into a ball.

All I have to do is ignore it. That's all I have to do.

He kept telling himself that. Over and over. It was probably the only thing that had gotten him through the night, because the next time he woke up it was morning.

Kakashi walked behind Urokodaki to the same clearing he had been training in a day prior. He saw the destruction of the field they had caused yesterday still present but thought the clearing still looked beautiful. Just as before.

His finger clenched tightly when he thought about yesterday. What happened to him. He still didn't know why. But he wished all the pain held up inside of him would just disappear.
