When I get to church Cole and John Stephen look at me and shake their heads, "Sorry dude." David asked out Vanessa. Vanessa said yes. What the hell? Am I a nothing, was that proposal nothing to her? I find myself at her door step, after church, with my fist in balls and my temper ready to burst.
She opens the door and I start screaming at her with my hands going everywhere and my eyes shut. I open my eyes once I'm done, but it's not Vanessa, it's David. Vanessa stands on the stairs looking at me horrified.
"You." I say, angrier than never before. My open hands turn back into fists and I throw a punch. It hits him of course.
I hear Vanessa's scream and I can't help myself, but throw another one. After a while I stop and Vanessa helps David get ice on his face. She hugs me, for some strange reason and then looks at me weird.
"What the hell, Baylor." I look at her weird.
"I thought you were my girl."
"We barely know each other, that proposal you did was to homecoming, and why did you punch David?!" Her eyes scream confused, but her body screams angry.
"You two just met too so why are you dating?!" Her eyes change to pure what the hell.
"We're not!" The door slams shut and I'm left with silence.
