The Party

It was Christmas Eve and me and Albus were getting ready to go to the Christmas party. We were just leaving the common room when my heart stopped, there waiting outside, was Rose Granger-Weasley.

I may not of had feeling towards her anymore but that didn't stop her from looking gorgeous. She had braided her hair down her back and had a pretty silver butterfly clip in it. She wore a baby blue dress with a few ruffles and on her wrist was a pretty charm bracelet, with blue charms to match the dress. She wore silver heels and was holding a white bag. I suddenly felt very underdressed in my jeans and t-shirt but I saw Albus looked confused to. "Hi..." Rose said, muffling a giggle. "Wow- you look great!" Albus replied, still in shock. "It makes my best jeans look like pyjamas!" He continued, letting out a nervous laugh. It was as if I was the cousin and he was the one 'madly in love' with her.

We walked to the party in silence together, with Rose giving me side glances and blushing every time I caught her looking. This couldn't be happening. When I finally get over her, she starts liking me. I looked at Albus who just stared back with a look that said "I don't know!"

"So Scorpius..." it was about 11 o'clock and we had been at the party for 2 hours, in which Rose had been hitting on me every second. I looked at her, her hair was coming out and somewhere along the lines, her bag had vanished. Her face was a constant pink and she was holding a cup of fire whiskey which somehow managed to keep on being refilled.  "What is your opinion on Chris!" I looked at her confused. We didn't even know anyone called Chris... "I think you've had enough of that" I said easing the cup out of her hands. "Oh your so funny!" She laughed trying to take it back.

I glared at Albus who was speaking to some Hufflepuff girls. I looked around to see if there is anyone else who could help me. I locked eyes with Lily who nodded and came over. "Come on Rosie, let's get you back to the common room" she said gently to Rose, pulling her away. "Thank you" I mouthed and she smiled back. Lily was nice and definitely my second favourite Potter. I walked over to Albus ready to actually have fun. I grabbed a cup of firewiskey as I went, a choice I would soon regret very much.

It was 2 am, but the party was still in full swing. I was on my sixth drink, but I just couldn't stop. Albus was next to me, just as drunk as me and everyone else in the room. Just then one of the girls next to me collapsed into my arms. "Whoops" she giggled, looking up. "I'm so sorry" she said, looking not in the slightest apologetic. "No problem" I laughed back, just as unstable on my feet as her. I went to have another sip of my drink but suddenly felt like I was about to throw up. "I'll be back" I muttered, cursing myself for having to leave the party.

"Scorpius? Are you ok?" I heard Albus say from behind as he followed me out. "Your not going to bed are you?" He seemed disappointed. Was that good? "I'm just going to the bathroom." I replied, my words slurred together. Everything seemed to be moving and it was all I could do to not pass out right there. "I'll come with you then..." Albus said after a pause. My heart stopped. Albus hated going to the bathroom with other people. Why change now. I walked into the small bathroom nearby. I looked behind me and to my delight Albus was still there. "You don't have to do this you know!" I said. "But I want to." He replied with a grin.

"There's something I need to tell you." I stopped and turned around. "Yes...." I asked, suddenly very anxious. "Ok, um... well..." I looked at him shocked. Albus was never nervous. He took a deep breath and tried again. "Look, I'm very drunk so anything I say or do is not my actual self talking." That made me more anxious then ever. "So- I think that you are very attractive, and I want you to know that and although you probably won't want to. I'm very open to a relationship. Of course you aren't and that's fine and I wasn't going to tell you this but I drank more then expected and I can't seem to stop talking and i know that I'm embarrassing myself-" but before he could finish I stepped towards him and kissed him. And to my great surprise, he kissed back. I felt my heart lift. Maybe... maybe my dream would come true. Maybe we'll live happily ever after. I stepped back and looked at him.

"So, is that um. A um yes?" He stuttered. I laughed and went towards him again. He smiled but then shook his head. "Not here. I know a place we can go." And with that, he took my hand and pulled me.

Albus POV

I was the happiest I had been in my life. I knew that if it hadn't been for the fire whiskey it would never of happened. I was going to regret drinking in the morning but that didn't matter. I took Scorpius to the room of requirement where we spent all night with each other. Ever since third year, I started to find Scorpius hot. The first time I noticed it was when he told me his mum had died. I knew that wasn't the right thing to be thinking but I couldn't stop. At her funeral Scorpius wore a black suit and it suited him perfectly. I knew that I didn't have a chance because he was so in love with Rose but maybe I was wrong. He had started to be less awkward around Rose, but I just thought that it was because Rose was starting to like him too. I was so jealous when all the girls started hitting on Scorpius, but I knew there was no way it could happen. All my thoughts these last 2 years were wrong. And I loved it. In between breaks, I told him all of this and he told me how ever since he saw me on the train in first year he thought I was attractive. How his second choice was Rose so he pursued her instead. How he had a dream about me telling him that this was weird. And how he realised he didn't love Rose like he thought he did. He told me everything and I loved it.

Scorpius POV

That night was the perfect Christmas present. From the moment we walked into the room of Requirement to the moment we left. I knew that if it hadn't been for the fire whiskey it would never of happened. I was going to regret drinking in the morning but that didn't matter. I still couldn't believe that after all that time, Albus liked me back. Everything I knew about him was wrong. And I loved it. In between breaks I told him about my journey to him and he told me how he had liked me since third year when I told him about my mum. How at her funeral he thought I looked amazing in a suit. And how he got jealous of every other girl he saw with me. He told me everything and I loved it.

Authors Note:

I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed writing this chapter. I know not many people are going to read this, but I wanted to write it anyway because why not? Just a reminder, for all the dirty minded people out there (I am one too don't worry!) They are minors. I know I didn't specify what they were doing but please try to remember that they probably aren't doing anything too bad, as they are a) still quite young and b) in a school (pretty self-explanatory).

I also realised that you few readers don't even know my name! (Unless you actually bothered to look at my profile) so let me tell you what it is.

My name is Zahra. Some fun facts about it is: it is Arabic! (I have no history in any Arabian countries, my parents just liked the name) it means flower! (According to my parents, correct me if I am wrong...)

What's your name? (Tell me in the comments)

Love from,

Zahra ❥
