TWO MONTHS LATER
Thud.
The sound of a body hitting the pavement rung out in the quiet night. Amora didn't flinch nor say a word as she glanced below her. She nudged the lifeless body with her foot, satisfied with her work. Sending one more round into the man's head, directly between his eyes, she watched as his head splattered against the ground, leaving crimson red blood and brain chunks covering the ground and wall next to them.
After tucking the gun back into the bag on her back, she observed her clothes. Spotless. She was never sloppy, there was never anything to be found on her. She fled the scene, leaving the man's body in the open to be found by the next person. Hopefully, her message got across.
She grabbed the burner phone from her pocket, dialing Ace's number. He picked up on the first ring.
"Yo?"
"It's done." Amora said quietly into the phone before she hung up and ditched the phone in the alleyway near where the body was.
Amora rounded the corner, spotting the black Escalade still running. She looked both ways before crossing the street and checked once behind her to make sure she wasn't being followed. She hurried into the backseat of the truck, blowing out a breath.
"You good?" Jay made a point to ask before they pulled off.
Amora nodded, not in the mood to speak. Her and Jay had grown closer over the time she spent with him. He was usually always with her if it wasn't Ace so they got to know each other some.
Jay glanced her over, just to make sure. Something was off. He wasn't so much concerned about what Amora was doing, but how she was handling it. This was the same girl he met two months ago that wouldn't kill a bee if it stung her. So, he was confused and concerned much like everybody else that hadn't said anything.
