Remus had no idea what she was doing. She was lying on one of the beds in St. Mungo's thinking about her life choices that had led to this moment, or rather, the choices that life made for her, like Voldemort, James dying and Sirius getting arrested.

And of course peter. She had to make a real plan now. The longer Sirius was in Azkaban, the worse for it was his health. She couldn't lay around pitying herself when her husband was living in literal hell on earth but she was out of options right now. She can't search every home and street for a rat now could she? Assuming Peter was still hiding somewhere in the wizarding world, if he was out there in the muggle world, it would be harder than finding a needle in a haystack.

But she has to find him, no matter how hard it is because what else was she supposed to do? Stay here ? In this stupid hospital bed all day? The healer got wind of her previous condition and now, she's stuck here, all alone until the rest of her test results come back.

The healer was a very stern-looking wizard, he was almost the male version of Madame Pomphrey. She used to be sick a lot of times during her Hogwarts years and the marauders would find all different ways to sneak past the matron.

If she closed her eyes, she could almost imagine that Sirius was standing just past the curtains, waiting for the perfect time to sneak in, or James, who only took notes on the days she was sick because somebody had to do it and she didn't trust Sirius with it.

The nurse came in interrupting her thoughts, she hoped it wasn't time for the grey potion again, it was awful.

"You have a visitor, are you feeling up to it, Miss Lupin?" she asked. Great another one of Sirius's fangirls, will the world ever run out of them?

"It's Mrs. Black as you can clearly see on the clipboard you are holding," she said, she didn't like being called Mrs. Black, never did and never will, and neither did Sirius, but the nurse doesn't know that, she should be respecting their marriage.

Was she up for it? Hell yeah, she was dying of boredom here. But who was it anyway?

"Who is it," she asked

"It's a Mrs. Weasley," she said scrunching her nose.

"Ah. Dear old Molly send her right in" said Remus excited to meet her, the last time they had met was when she had babysat Harry while they had been on a mission, almost a year back.

"Hey Remus how are you doing, " Molly said as she walked in, holding a large pie that she set on the bedside table

"I'm bored. How did you find out I was here"

"About that, it's all over the news," she said somberly.

"What?" Remus asked.

"You are still the richest witch in Britain, there's always going to be gossip about your whereabouts."

" Fuck. I should have been more careful. Do you have the paper" I asked

"You don't worry about that you need to be resting now"

"I'm fine Molly. I could ask the nurse to get a copy of it for me."

"Fine?" she said and handed m/e a copy of the prophet from her bag.

MRS. BLACK ADMITTED AT ST. MUNGO'S LAST NIGHT AFTER HER DISAPPEARANCE

"Disappearance?"

"Well you haven't really been seen since the incident "

"Of Course, I wasn't, what was I supposed to do? Celebrate like the rest of the wizarding world?"

"Hey I understand Remus, you need to be alone right now and I get it"

"Great. I bet the wizarding world loves me after reading this" she said reading the whole thing.

"You don't worry about what they have to say, dear. you know many people don't believe that anyway. You have to focus on what's best for you right now."

"No. I need to focus on what's best for everybody, getting Sirius out of that hell hole. Everything will be alright after that."

"What are you speaking about?"

"What don't tell me you also think he's guilty"

"Darling, I know that you love him very much and that he's your husband but-"

"No Molly no buts. Sirius black was a good man and a great friend. I knew him better than anyone else and there is no universe where he can betray James."

"Well, who else did it then?"

"It was peter"

"Well, I'm sure you trusted peter the same way then why do you think it was him and not Sirius? Moreover, Peter is dead so it was Sirius who did it"

"I did trust peter the same way, we all did and it turned out to be the gravest mistake of our lives. And Peter is not dead, he's hiding, and when I find him, it'll all be cleared"

"What do you mean 'he's not dead'?"

"There was no body, he faked it"

"He was literally blown apart"

"No he wasn't Molly, he's just a bloody rat and you mark my words, I'll find him"

"So that's where you've disappeared off to huh chasing some dead man"

"What else am I supposed to do with my life Molly, just accept that my husband is wrongfully in prison and that I cant legally get my godson and just sit at home and wallow in self-pity all day. Is that what I'm supposed to do"

"I just want you to be alright dear"

"I will be alright when I get Sirius back Molly. Not can we talk about something more cheerful"

"Sure dear"

"How are the children"

"Of they are great, all seven of them"

"Seven? But? Wait your pregnant"

"Yeah"

"That's so great Molly. Why didn't you start with that? How far along are you?"

"Oh, just a couple months."

"Sirius always said he wanted six children like you. Guess you just increased his goal count."

"Just pray that it's a girl or I can't say that it's going to be the last"

"Of course"

"And How many kids do you want?"

"Oh me. I thought Harry was enough of a handful for all of us together, and now, it's just me and him" she said sadly.

"You know where he is?" she asked, surprised.

"Yeah, finding him was way easier than finding Peter. But he's safe for now and I'm keeping a close eye. But I might just kidnap Harry and disappear one of these days"

"What?"

"It was a joke, Molly. You know that I only want what's best for him"

"Of course dear"

"You know what call me over if you want somebody to babysit for a while. I think I need to spend some time away from my rat hunt"

"Sure dear that would be great actually,"

"Thank you Molly"

"For what?"

"Just.. coming here and everything"

"Why don't you come down to dinner after you get out of here?"

"Well, I'm getting out tonight, no matter what the healer says."

"Saturday then?"

"Sure"

"And take care of yourself. No more run-ins with vampires before that."

"Sure."
