Petunia looked out of the window worriedly at the house next door. The curtains were drawn and no lights could be seen within. Remy had handed her Harry and told her that she was going on a mission that had been 72 hours back. She had seen Remy leave, about an hour after that. She just stood in the backyard in a huge fur coat that looked ridiculous in this weather and vanished out of sight. She remembered the first time Lily had done that. She and Lily were already not on good terms and Lily used to annoy and scare the shit out of her by popping in and out of places.

Suddenly, there was a flash of light on Remy's front porch and she appeared. Petunia felt relieved for a split second before she realized that Remy had collapsed to the ground and was not moving. She ran out of the house and slowly approached the unmoving figure. Petunia was a simple girl and had never done something so terrifying in her whole life. She wanted to run back into her house and forget that she ever saw anything but she kept walking. When she reached, Remy turned over and petunia let out a sigh of relief that Remy wasn't dead.

But her relief soon turned to dread when she saw the state the other woman was in.

"What happened" she gasped.

"Help me get inside" Remy whispered.

Petunia helped her stand up and took her into the house. The light turned on the moment she opened the door and she almost dropped Remy because of the fright. She lay Remy down on her sofa.

"I have medicine in the kitchen cabinet. Can you get it for me? I'm too weak to do any magic right now.

I-- sure err" she said and went into the kitchen. She opened the cabinet to the far left and it was filled with bottles of different shapes and sizes having liquids of different colors in them.

"Which one?" she shouted.

"The smallest one with the clear liquid and the big orange one" came the reply from the living room.

"There are three orange ones"

"The pale orange in the conical bottle"

Petunia breathed in and carefully took two of the clear ones because both of them were small and she wasn't sure which one she needed. She also grabbed the orange one and went to the living room. She handed Remy the two small bottles

"I didn't know which one"

"They both are the same and by the extent of my injuries, we need both"

"Ok' she said and handed her the bottle.

Remy pulled away her cloak to reveal the full extent of her injuries. There was a geep gash across her abdomen and several others gashed all over her torso.

"Oh my god did you get mauled by a bear?"

"Bear? I wish," she said and chugged some of the orange drink

"Oh my god Rem this is"

"Don't worry. It's not as bad as it looks. See" she said and poured some of the liquid over her abdomen.

Petunia gasped as Remy shrieked in pain and the open wound slowly closed itself. She finished the orange drink in one swift chug and tried to regain her composure.

"Ok. I need to get up"

"No"

"What"

"No Remus you can't turn up at my doorstep half dead without owing me an explanation"

"Fine, I was searching for Peter in some woods we went camping years ago and I mistakenly set foot into a vampire territory,"

"Va v vampires did this to you"

"No. I wouldn't be alive right now if a vampire had even set a finger on me while escaping from them, I ran into a pack of wild Crups, now the venom from their tails can be poisonous so I need to get an antidote for which, I need to get up."

"Ook," said petunia reluctantly and pulled her up. "Where do you need to go"

"Just the desk please"

"The desk?"

"I need to write to St. Mungo's to send somebody to pick me up. I'm in no condition to apparate right now"

Petunia helped her sit on the chair even though she didn't understand half the words that Remus just said to her.

"Like an ambulance" Remus clarified and pulled out a feather with her shaky hands and petunia stopped her "I'll write"

"Are you sure"

"Yeah. do you have a normal pen though"

"Of Course. In the second drawer"

----

"I don't think I got all the spellings right"

"Doesn't matter" she said and ties the paper to the owl's legs and he flies off into the sky

"How does the owl know where to go?"

"I have no idea. He just does. "

"Oh"

"Well, some things are best-left a mystery I guess. They will be here soon so you should go back"

"Ok"

"Give Harry a goodnight kiss from me."

"Sure," she said and left.
