I felt the ground underneath me. The only problem was that it wasn't actual ground. It felt like the cold, metal bottom of my jail cell.
"Where am I?" I peeped quietly, almost a whisper.
"You're in the TARDIS."I recognized the voice but couldn't believe it. I felt like I was dreaming.
"How long was I out?" I asked, growing a little stronger now.
"About 15 minutes." Replied that familiar voice.
"Great. Am I in the TARDIS with the Doctor?" I asked very confused but much stronger.
"Yes. Now, tell me who you are." The Doctor replied sincerely. He was genuinely confused.
"My name is Captain Jack Harkness. We met in the middle of the London Blitz. You were with a beautiful girl and her name was Rose. You threw her in a alternate dimension to keep her safe." I said all of this very tentatively.
"I'm sorry, but I don't remember any of that. I only know that I made a deal with something called a dalek and they got my memory and the TARDIS in exchange for humanity."
"Ok. Do you know where they are keeping your memory?"I asked. Determined to get his memory back.
"I think that they said that they were keeping it in one of there ships. I'm not sure which on , but I remember them saying it was one of their ships."
"Ok. Thanks for the information." I replied plotting a plan to get his memory back. I finally convinced myself that I was not dreaming.
"Am I dreaming?" I asked. Now I was very confused.
"No. The Dream Lord is not here at the moment. Just a Time Lord." He replied. A smile was on his face.
"Did you really lose your memory? Or are you just messing with me?" I asked. Starting to figure things out.
"I'm messing with you. You are so naive. I almost laughed when you introduced yourself. That is one of the many things I miss about you Jack." He was laughing now.
"Ok. So what's a dream lord?" I asked with a wild curiosity in my voice.
"Exactly as it sounds." He stated very matter of factly.
"So, a lord of dreams?"
"Pretty much." He was being sarcastic and I was getting very irritated with him.
"Will you please stop being sarcastic all the time?" I asked. My irritation was starting to show.
"Yea. I'm sorry." He replied. Sorrow was in his voice. I don't think anyone had told him that before.
"Thank you." I replied. I was in a forgiving mood.
"So, do you want to go and see Rose?" I think both of us wanted to ask the other that, but was not sure what the other would say.
"I was hoping you would say that." He had this huge smile on his face. I think this was one of the rare times that he was actually happy. I liked this Doctor much better.
"Well, let's go!!" I was very excited. This would be the first time I got to see her in about 5 years. I had no idea how she would react to us. Would she be mad? Would she be relieved? Or would she be happy? Her reaction surprised us very much. Our first mission though, was getting the daleks to think we were still there and not let them know that we had left. I thought that would be impossible when the Doctor told me the story. When I stepped out of the TARDIS, I knew it was going to be impossible. This is what I heard when I stepped out.
"EXTERMINATE!"
"EXTERMINATE!"
"DELETE!"
"DELETE!" There were hundreds, if not thousands of daleks and cybermen standing outside waiting for something to happen. I was certain that it was impossible to get out now. I could only think of one place that would be safe. With Rose and Jackie Tyler. I pushed down on my button and went to the place. I can't believe it. I just abandoned the man I love.
