We were all laughing at a corny joke Rory told when it happened. Rory malfunctioned. It went down something like this.

"Are you ok mate?" The Doctor asked. "You're looking a bit static."

"No, I'm not ok. It's taking over!" Rory looked like he was worried for everbody's else's life instead of his own.

"What?! What's taking over?!" She asked hysterically

"The Nestene Consciousness. That was the thing that made all of the manikins come to life. The first time we met." The Doctor said that last part rather romantically.

"Ohhhhhh. Ok." She realised this at the wrong time. Rory had a kind of robotic spasm and accidentally shot one of the Doctor's hearts.

"DOCTOR!" She screamed simultaneously to me.

"I... Need... Id-... ... ... ..." No more speech after that.

"Hit him on the back!" I told Her.

"Why?" She questioned.

"I say so! It should bring him back! I stated."

"Where?" She asked?

"Try the area around his heart or directly on/above his heart." I replied.

*Hit* Nothing.

*Hit* Nothing.

*Hit* BIG breath from Doctor

*Hit* The Doctor is in!

"Thanks mate. You're a real life saver!" He muttered/whispered quietly.

"I told her what to do." I replied snobbishly.

"Thanks to you to then." He whispered a little stronger now.

"What happened? Where's Rory?" He asked. His feeble legs trying to hold up his entire body weight.

"Ummmm. He ran out the door and started shooting random people." She replied, trying to stay calm.

"We... We ha-... We have to st-... stop him." He barely got one word of that out. He looked worse than when he first got shot!

"Are you ok Doc" I asked, very concerned.

"The TARDIS. She can run a full diagnosis on me." He wheezed.

"Ok. Where is she?"

"I... I don't... know." His voice was barely a whisper.

"Great." I replied sarcastically.

"Do you still have your vortex manipulator?" She questioned

"I think so." I stuttered uneasily. I checked my wrist. No luck. I checked my pockets. No dice.

"Sorry. I think Rory stole it." I said with panic in my voice.

"T...TA...TARD-..." I had completely fort about the Doctor!! How selfish of me.

"What about the TARDIS?" I asked quietly.

"Look." Was all he said.

"Where? All I see is a bar." I stated.

"Think. Remember rule number one." He muttered so only I could hear.

"We never left?" I asked with a hint of surprise. All the Doctor could do was smile faintly.

"Rule number one. The Doctor lies." She replied in a smart alec tone of voice. It was like she knew this all along but chose not to tell me.

"Did you KNOW about this?!?" I said this thinking to myself "Why should I be surprised"?

"That made it ten times funnier!" She was straight out bursting with laughter now. The Doctor was starting to chuckle faintly.

"How could you do that to me?!" I screamed in rage.

"You love me." The Doctor replied sweetly, but with a smirk on his face.

"Not anymore. We're through!!" I said as I stomped out the door. I was trying so hard to hold back the tears, but once I was out, I cried a river.

"Does that mean I can have you all to myself? She said in that snotty little voice of hers.

"I guess." The Doctor replied in that happy tone he always used when he was around Her.

"Fantastic." Rose was not quite half an inch away from his face, yet no one made a move on the other even though they both wanted to.

"Wow. I'm just now realizing something."

"What?" She asked. She moved a little farther away.

"I love you." I had not completely left the TARDIS and I saw them make lip contact. I stormed out after that.
