"Naruto, sweetie," Iruka knocked gently on the blond's bedroom door.

"Come in," Naruto replied with a warm smile as his father entered the room. "Do you need som- Oh, Kakashi, hi!" he greeted with genuine surprise as his coach silently followed his dad into the room.

"Hey."

"Well, actually, yes," his father replied nervously as he settled onto his mattress and Naruto swiveled around in his chair, pulling it closer to his father. "I just wanted to tell you something."

"Great! I have something to tell you too," he confessed, rubbing the back of his head sheepishly.

Iruka frowned. "Really? Want to go first?" Naruto shook his head.

"You go first." He looked at his father who took a deep breath and began to speak.

"I'm just gonna rip the band-aid off. Kakashi and I are dating. And before you say anything, I just wanted you to know I love him, and it would mean a lot to me if you could get to know him because—" Naruto chuckled before hugging his father.

"I already knew dad."

"You knew?"

"Well, I didn't know for sure, but I suspected it. And of course, I'm okay with it. I just want you to be happy because you really deserve it." He hugged his father tightly before pulling away and pecking his cheek. Naruto turned to Kakashi. "Welcome to the family, Kakashi!" The blond Uzumaki extended his hand for Kakashi to shake. "If you hurt my dad, I swear I'll send you to Antarctica to bathe with the penguins," he jokingly threatened, squinting his eyes.

"Noted," Kakashi replied with a wrinkle at the corner of his eye, indicating he was smiling under his mask.

"Thank you, son. This means a lot to me, really. But now enough about me, tell me, what did you want to talk about?" Naruto's heartbeat quickened in his chest. This was it. He was going to officially come out. There was no turning back now.

He and Sasuke had only been dating for two months, but they had been crushing on each other for much longer, and Naruto couldn't keep it a secret any longer. He felt a tight knot in his chest every time he had to lie to his father about where he had spent his afternoons or the source of the hickeys that adorned his neck.

Naruto wanted to tell his father everything about his boyfriend, his best friend, the love of his life. He wanted to tell him how much he loved him and how much Sasuke loved him back.

He wanted to share the million reasons he loved Sasuke, from his quirks to the smallest gestures that made his heart race. He wanted to tell his father about Sasuke taking care of him when he was sick, helping him with school, and making those adorable matching bracelets for them.

Naruto just wanted to let it all out—the way he could stare into Sasuke's deep eyes for hours, how the sound of Sasuke's voice gave him butterflies, and how everything felt right and easy when he was with him. Naruto had waited so long for them to be together, and he wanted his father to know every detail.

He wanted to tell him everything, and he had decided to do it today, right now. He knew his father would accept it, but there was still a tiny voice of doubt in his mind. Nonetheless, he needed to know to move on with his life.

"What's troubling you, son?" Iruka asked gently, sitting up on the bed, sensing that the conversation was about to take a serious turn.

Swallowing the hard lump in his throat, he did his best to start. "Uhm... well, over the last few years, I've come to realize... some things... about myself. I've been wanting to tell you, but until a few months ago, it wasn't really necessary or relevant. And honestly, I was—no, I am a little scared. Not scared, actually, terrified." He hesitated with his words as his fingers fidgeted nervously.
