Mikey's POV

There were so many things that I could remember about them. But they could never seem to leave my mind. Maybe it was their H/C hair. Or the leather jacket that was wrapped around their torso. It could've been their smile or the fact that I saw them all the time. But I knew that I was avoiding one thing.

That I was in love with them.

Y/N's POV

I was in my car driving to my boyfriend's house. Gerard and I had been dating for about 4 months. I met his family and friends and they were all extremely sweet, especially Mikey.

I pulled up to his house and parked on the side of the road. Gerard and I were supposed to just have a relaxed night. We hadn't really had much time together due to school.

I used the key I was given and unlocked the front door.

When I stepped in, I saw Mikey sitting up against the wall.

"Hey Mikes. What's wrong?"

He smiled and stood up. "Nothing. I'm just bored."

"Oh well maybe we can hang out in a little bit. Right now I'm gonna go see Gerard." I noticed that his expression changed and he looked down.

"Y/N, I don't think you wanna go up there."
I laughed a little. "Why not? He isn't watching our show without me, is he?" He looked down and shook his head.

"No he-he's not. I-I think you should just go see for yourself." I was a little confused.

I started walking upstairs through the dark hallway.

Why was Mikey acting like this? Was Gerard hiding something? Gerard said that he would never hide anything from me. So what was the worst thing that could happen?

I made it to his door and heard a lot of movement inside. I opened it and was hurt by what I saw.

Gerard was making out with some girl on his bed.

But it wasn't just any girl. It was my bestfriend, Savannah. We've been friends for years and this is what happens?

I was furious with her and Gerard but I knew nothing good would come out of making a scene. I stepped back out and shut the door. I let myself stand there, feeling numb.

No tears fell. I was in complete shock. I should've known that somebody like Gerard was too good to be true. I should've known.

I picked myself up off of the wall and started walking down the hallway with my head down.

Out of nowhere though, sombody grabbed my arm. I spun around and felt someone press their lips to mine.

I thought it was Gerard keeping me here after catching him with Savannah but when they pulled away, I was surprised to see Mikey.

He held me close, wrapped in his arms. "You don't know how long I've wanted to do that." He breathed out.

"You knew Gerard was with her, didn't you?" I put my head down."

He nodded and pushed my hair behind my ear. "I knew as soon as I got home. I saw her crawling through his window and I knew what his intentions were."

I gripped his shirt in my fist. "How could I be so stupid?"

"Hey hey, don't think like that." He ran his hands down my head. "Gerard is the stupid one for letting you go. For not seeing what you're capable of."

I didn't know what I was feeling but I felt more with Mikey than I ever did Gerard.

"My heart burns even more." I whispered.

He chuckled. "You make me feel things I've never felt before. Since I first layed eyes on you, I thought 'she's so beautiful. How did Gerard get his hands on her?'"

He continued. "I wanted to be the one for you, not Gerard. I knew that I could treat you well because I know how Gerard is. This isn't the first time he's done this. But I want to ask you something."

I nodded. "Anything."

He hesitated for a moment. "Kiss me. Kiss me like we can just forget everything. Kiss me like we can just run away and fall in love." Mikey's eyes were moving so much that I could tell he was serious.

I grabbed his shirt and pulled him close to me. I kissed him as much as I could. My lips hurt and were raw. He ran his hands through my hair and I groaned a little.

He pulled away and leaned his forehead against mine. "Take me."

"What?"

"Take me. Away from here. Take us away from this place."

I didn't wait one second.

"My car."

And we ran. Mikey packed a small bag and we jumped in my car. I don't know how long we drove for but it was at least hours.

Soon enough we ended up in Pennsylvania.

We didn't have to worry about much, since we were both adults. At this point, we were college dropouts.

Of course we had been reported missing. We didn't have our cellphones since we didn't want to be tracked down.

It was strange having to run from the cops but if we were caught, what's the worse that could happen?

I looked over at Mikey who was driving. I leaned over and kissed his jaw. He smiled and ran his fingers over the ring sitting on my left hand.

"I love you." He grinned.

"I love you more."

"That's not possible." He laughed and kissed my head. "You took us away my love. Away from that place. And I'll never be able to thank you enough."

I smiled. "We took each other away and made a new home." I whispered.

He stopped the car and held me in his arms. He kissed my head and then my lips. "Forever we run."

And with that we were back on the road.
