Chapter Six: A Very Bad Day.

The next day turns out to be the worst day of my life. And it all starts with the school's bitch, Carly Johnson.

The day starts off normally, I walk to school in a pair of leggings and a coat, and work hard in my lessons. And then lunch comes around.

I sit down on my own table for once, reading a book. And that's when Carly struts over, her skirt inclining up her leg. She grabs the collar of my top and pulls me up so I'm stood in front of her.

"What are you doing?" Carly demands.

"Reading a book," I reply, confused.

"No, what were you doing last night?" Carly asks, and I frown.

"I had dinner round my neighbour's house," I reply, nervously.

"And started to get all cosy around River," Carly says, scowling at me.

"What?" I ask, frowning. Everyone is staring in shock, and I blush slightly.

"River, is mine. You don't go near him, ever," Carly says coldly.

"He's not some sort of possession, but I don't like him like that," I reply, slightly confused.

"You clearly want him! You made up a story about your mother having cancer, and how she is going to die soon just to get close to him! You lied to him, and he doesn't deserve that!" Carly shrieks, and I roll my eyes.

"Well you probably told him you were a Virgin, and we all know that's a lie," I retort, and Carly scowls at me. People laugh, and I smirk. Carly rips my coat completely in half, making a lot of people gasp.

"You were always a bitch, weren't you? You always just wanted popularity, you just lied your way through life," Carly drawls, shoving me against the wall.

"I've never lied to him, my Mum is dying, and you're here accusing me of lying? That's a new low, even for you," I say coldly. Carly scowls, pouring her blackcurrant squash all over my head, staining my leggings and top.

"Just stop lying! River is mine, I've never lied to him, and I never will. He deserves someone like me!" Carly shrieks, sending punch to my jaw, scratching my face with the ring on her finger. I feel blood start to fall, and I narrow my eyes.

"You can have him, I don't give a fuck! I don't like him like that, he doesn't like me like that! Go after him, I don't bloody care!" I yell, as Carly punches me again.

"Then don't talk to him again!" Carly shrieks, before striding away, letting me fall to the floor, and I black out.

I watch the whole thing play out, and when Carly walks away, I run over to Charlie and kneel down next to her. I carefully pick her up and carry her towards the lunch hall door. And that's when River walks in, completely oblivious to what just happened in here.

"Is she okay?" River asks me, suddenly looking concerned.

"I hope so," I say.

"What happened?" River asks, curiously.

"Ask someone else," I say, before walking past him and carrying Charlie to the medial room.

I watch curiously after Nathan, who was carrying Charlie in his arms. What the hell happened so I can go and beat up whoever hurt her? They deserve to get beaten up themselves, whoever did this.

I walk over to my normal table, where Drew and Zach are sat.

"What happened?" I ask them, and they look at each other, before Drew sighs.

"Carly and Charlie got in an argument," Drew starts to explain.

"About what?" I ask, frowning.

"It doesn't matter, but let's just say Charlie ended up worse," Zach sighs, and I roll my eyes. I don't bother protesting though, as I know they won't tell me anymore.

"River!" I hear Carly call, as she walks over.

"Um, hey Carly," I smile, and Carly grins.

"I was wandering if you'd like to go on a date with me this weekend?" Carly asks, and I raise an eyebrow.

"Sure," I shrug, and Carly grins.

"Great, We could go bowling," Carly smiles.

"Sure, I'll meet you there at two," I say, and Carly smiles.

"I'll see you there," Carly winks, before walking away.

I wake up in the small medical room of the school. Nathan sits down next to me, and smiles at me.

"Hey," Nathan says, smiling.

"Hey," I reply, smiling back.

"Your Mum is here to take you home," Nathan says, and I nod. Nathan helps me up, and we go out to reception, where Mum is sat.

"Thanks Nathan," Mum smiles at Nathan, before Nathan leaves. Mum leads me out to the car, and drives us home. I immediately to up to my room and lock my door. I close to curtains and my window. I'll do what Carly wants, I won't talk to him again. I won't cause anymore trouble.

So that night, when I hear some small stones hit my window, I ignore them.

"Charlie?" River calls, and I stay silent.

"Are you in?" River asks, and I still ignore him. River tries a few more times, before I hear him shut his window, as he gives up. I sigh, closing my eyes tightly.

So that's how my day became the worst day of my life.

Have you ever met someone and fell for them so hard that it hurts? Yes. Have you fallen too hard for them that when you find out they're cheating on you, you have a breakdown and take so long to get over it? Yes.
But now she's back. And she's stronger than ever, even with her ex in the school, for she's finally over him. She's starting a new.

Charlotte Richards was finally over her breakup. She was ready. And that changed immediately when she crashes into a bad boy, and she falls in love again. Charlotte was an innocent nerdy girl, really. Yes, she had many guys in the school chasing after her, but she didn't want them.

And why were they chasing after her? Because she dated the school's head basketball player, and she managed to beat him up, and this somehow made all the boys want her. But she didn't want that, but that doesn't mean she doesn't use it for her advantage.

Then she meets a certain bad boy, and starts to fall for his bad boy influence.

Comment your opinions! And maybe give the chapter a sneaky little vote?
