"Come here cutie." Sunghoon stood beside the school gates with a charming smile, beckoning his friend over. "I guess congratulations are in order."
Sunoo scoffed, knowing where this was going. "Okay cut it out now, no teasing."
"What? I haven't said anything yet." The blonde played innocent, he bit his lip, glancing to the side. "But I mean...you did look really adorab-mm." He was silenced by the palm slapped over his mouth, Sunoo gave him a warning look, so he put up his hands in surrender.
"I don't want to hear about it." Sunoo winced. It was really fun in the moment, but in actuality, thinking back, it was kinda embarrassing. "Where's Jake?"
Sunghoon grabbed his wrist, lowering his hand, just enough so he could speak. "He told us to go ahead; he's got an errand to run."
How did he forget? They'd discussed this whole thing this morning. Jake had graciously decided to pay a trip to a certain [maybe very important] florists, to see if he could dig up anything useful. The boy had stuck to the agreement, not informing Sunghoon of where he was going. Sunoo did feel bad about keeping it from his friend, but it was what they needed to do, just for now. Until they could work out the truth.
The two boys left school, heading down their usual path. They spent the whole time talking, and messing around, filling each other in about what they had gotten up to in the day. Sunoo was currently explaining the recent changes in his social circle.
"Gaeul came to work with me in chemistry. Wonyoung moved to sit by me in history. Even Yujin asked me to be her partner for the upcoming English project."
"I thought you were going to work with me." Sunghoon whined.
"Yeah well I can't say no to her, she's Ah Yujin." Sunoo replied, like it was so obvious. "I swear one grand gesture, and it's like I'm a celebrity. I didn't even do anything." He threw up his arms in frustration, letting out a breath. "Is this my life now?"
"It can't be that bad." Sunghoon nudged the mopey boy, giving him an affiliative smile. "I've been friends with the girls for a while, and they may seem scary, or bitchy at first, but they're genuinely nice people."
"Yujin's the scariest-" He shook his head. "No, I take that back, Jungwon is. He hates me."
"I can see why you think that." Sunghoon chuckled, he'd witnessed all of the drama that happened during the try outs, because he was playing football at the time. "Yujin can be scary, but the only person who should be scared of her is Jungwon. Their rivalry is intense. As for Jungwon, he'll warm up to you eventually."
"So they do have a rivalry? I just thought they had a love-hate relationship kinda thing."
"You don't even know the half of it. It's a long history, but they properly hate each other. They compete over everything: grades, popularity, boys. It's never ending."
Sunoo's ears perked up at that last point. Yujin did keep mentioning Jay, and Jungwon and Jay's rocky relationship was common knowledge at the school. Could it be that their latest competition was over the boy? Maybe that's why Jungwon was being so grouchy.
Something wet hit the boys skin, causing him to flinch out of his thoughts. He glanced up to the sky, noticing the grey clouds for a split second, before the rain really started to pour. His eyes squinted shut, blinking out the water that just blinded him. He could just about hear Sunghoon's laughter over the rain, then suddenly felt two arms grab his thighs, lifting him off the ground. He let out a little squeal, now realizing he was on Sunghoon's back.
"What the hell are you doing?!" He grabbed onto Sunghoon's shoulders tightly, afraid of falling off.
The blonde didn't seem phased. "It'll be quicker this way."

Sunghoon walked through the door, still with Sunoo on his back. The ravenette's arms hooked around his neck, head resting on his shoulder. They were soaked, droplets of rain water dripping onto the white carpet. They were at the Kim residence tonight. As they walked in, they bumped into one of Sunoo's mum's, who had seemingly just got in herself.
"Oh you scared me!" She gasped, clutching the fabric over her heart. She had just finished hanging up her coat, and didn't appear to have gotten that wet from the rain. Though that was mainly due to her large umbrella, that was resting against the front door. "Didn't I tell you it was going to rain? Why didn't you bring a coat?"
"Sorry mum, I forgot."
She lightly shook her head, knowing how forgetful her son could be. "It's alright sweetie." She smiled, eyes scanning over the boys in front of her. "Always looking after my baby." She reached towards the blonde, pinching his cheek. Then moved closer to her son, brushing the wet strands of hair out of his face.
Sunoo let out a little whine. "I'm not a baby."
"Whatever you say." She spun on her heals, voice trailing off as she left the hallway.
With a huff, Sunoo clumsily got off Sunghoon's back. Loosing his footing, he stumbled straight into the wall, bumping his head on a picture frame.
"Ow!" He winced, clutching onto the sore spot at the back of his head.
Sunghoon's eyes widened, rushing over to the boy, he removed Sunoo's hands, and checked over the injury. "It's not bleeding, but we'll get you some ice."
Sunoo didn't protest, since his head was really sore, he just let his body be guided wherever. He ended up in the kitchen, unsurprisingly, where his other mum was chopping up vegetables for their dinner.
"You boys look like you've been hit by a tsunami." She lowly chuckled, dropping the knife, she walked over to the freezer, pulling it open. She took out an ice tray, banging it against the counter. Then placed the cubes into a tea towel, and handed it to her son. "Here, now you two get changed before dinner. I washed the clothes from when you were last here Hoon, they're in Sunoo's wardrobe. And Jake's are clean too, for whenever he comes storming in here."
"Thanks Mrs Kim."
"Always so polite Hoon. Now off you go, you're making a mess of the kitchen floor."
