The car ride back home was quiet and cold. None of them talked to each other until they reached. Boyoung dropped her handbag and walked up to the couch. Inguk stood still and watched her as she sat down.

"Boyoung, please talk to me," he said rushing towards her.

"I want to be left alone" she replied with a straight face.

Inguk took a seat next to her and kept his hand on her shoulder.

"Boyoung, do you think what happened today was my fault?" he asked politely.

Boyoung shut her eyes and let a tear fall.

"No, Oppa. It was not," she said.

"Then what happened? Why aren't you talking to me?" he asked.

"Because... it pains me. The way she addressed you, it felt she was so close to you once" Boyoung said looking at Inguk.

"She wasn't as close as you are..." he said caressing her cheek. He was holding on to his tears as well.

"Oppa," Boyoung said holding the hand he had kept on her cheek. "You don't have feelings for her anymore, right?" she asked.

"No! I feel for you Boyoung. You have my heart" he said smiling at her.

Boyoung took his hand and planted a gentle kiss on it.

"I don't want to be apart from you Oppa, but I also don't want to do anything wrong," she said.

"Come here" he whispered, pulling her into a hug.

She immediately wrapped her hands around his neck while he encircled her waist.

"There is nothing to worry about, I am here," he said.

"I am so sorry, you must be so hurt too"

"To be honest Boyoung, seeing her after so many years didn't make me upset. But seeing the pain in your eyes did," he confessed.

Boyoung hugged him tighter and smiled.

"I think I will break the deal with her," she said.

"Only if Miss Park wants it, not you" Inguk clarified that she had to keep her professional and personal choices separate.

"I don't want to cause you more pain," she said.

"I won't be a part of any of the meetings with her. If her investment is good for the company you shouldn't compromise it" he explained.

"But do you trust her, Oppa?" Boyoung asked.

"No. I don't, and it is up to you as the vice president if you want to trust her professionalism. "

Boyoung nodded and thought for a while about the decision she had to take. Lost in each other's embrace, they had no idea what the next day had in store for them.
