Henry was seen saying something to the cadet who was following him. Then, the cadet nodded and walked forward first.

Henry’s expression twisted strangely as he stopped for a moment and stared at his back.

It was an annoyed look. Then he turned his head away again and stared at Filina. Henry’s body, which had been facing the front, was now completely facing her.

He walked slowly towards Filina.

“Bessie, let’s walk a little faster.”

She grabbed Bessie’s arm and sped up her steps. Enoch’s sword was swinging heavily at her waist.

Bessie asked with a strange face.

“Why? Is something wrong?”

“Yes, I think something very bad is going to happen.”

She glanced at Henry, who was approaching from a distance, and quietly recited.

His expression changed to one of frustration, as if he had noticed that Filina was trying to avoid him. And yet, his steps towards her did not change.

Filina put more pressure on the hand that grabbed Bessie. But after a moment, Henry’s hand grabbed her by the shoulder.

“Wait a moment.”

Henry said in an urgent voice, but before he could say anything else, Filina shook his hand off hard.

A dull noise spread over the quiet space.

It was a touch that wasn’t tight since the beginning. So there was a louder frictional sound than expected as Filina shook his hand off. She felt kind of sorry for his hand as it fell into the air.

Filina stopped with a sigh. As she turned to Henry, their eyes met as if they had waited.

His skin was pale, his lips were blue. She didn’t know why he would reach out in such a physical state.

Bessie, next to Filina, glanced at Henry and whispered.

“Isn’t he the one who represented the new students at the entrance ceremony?”

She opened her eyes wide and asked Filina.

“Do you know each other?”

Bessie’s voice sounded louder than expected. Filina, who was looking at Henry with a dry face, frowned and replied.

“No, I don’t know him.”

She recited one more time, staring at him.

“I don’t really want to know him.”

Having said that, Filina quickly tried to regain her halting steps. However, Henry wrapped her wrist tightly.

“Wait a minute, Miss Debussy.”

“…”

“I’d like to talk to you, if only for a moment.”

Filina looked at him with a frown.

She could see the purple eyes staring at her.

Bessie tilted her head and looked at the two of them alternately.

She was sure that Filina said they were strangers, but Filina’s name coming out of Henry’s mouth was natural.

Henry shifted his gaze and faced Bessie.

“Excuse me, would you excuse us?”

Filina stared at him with an absurd expression.

She had never agreed to the talk, but with a polite face he tried to get rid of Bessie.
