"Hello, Beatrice," a voice came from inside. "Welcome to the Big House."
"Big House? This house isn't really big, you know?" I ask.
The person smiled. He was quite tall, but was different. Okay, so he may not be a person. I was kidding. He's definitely not a Homo sapien, he's a centaur.
Nice! Is this Halloween or something? Why is everyone dressed this way? Maybe they spend Halloween earlier? Or maybe this is late to them...
"Now, Beatrice, you have been living with your grandparents, correct?" he asked, his tail swishing.
"Ye, but who are you?" I questioned back.
"Chiron, m'dear," he said then added, "Has they told you about the term 'Demigods' or 'Half Bloods?'"
"Yes." I replied.
"And the Greek-?" he asked.
"Myths? Of course, they teach you those shit in class, you know." I replied back, rolling my eyes.
He looked at me strangely, "I wouldn't call them myths."
"Why not?"
"They're real, they were never dead."
"Sureee... One more thing, everyone here is crazy-" I started.
"Not crazy, come on, have anything ever happened when you couldn't explain it, by logic?" he asked.
"Of course: Water bursting, yet no one noticed; skeletons; pen to sword; and many more..." I answered.
"Yes, you'd get used to it. Oh, and I'd hate to break this news to you, but your grandparents are dead." he revealed.
"I see. Go on." I spoke.
"You are the daughter of a God or Goddess."
I nodded. "Greek or Roman?"
"Could be any."
Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
This was gonna be fun
"Oki, if you guys were alive for so long," I paused for a second before saying, "Why did you guys hide?"
"We didn't hide, we simply were thought as myths-"
"But you could've told them you guys were real somehow! I mean, you want attention? You get it then! So why not?" I interrupted him.
He sighed. "You'll know soon enough, m'dear."
"That's what everyone says, but I never know... like understand-" I recalled.
What is it that I'm too young to understand for?
Such bad... creatures
He smiled gently at me.
Why is he being gentle? Shouldn't he be annoyed?
Just then a boy with light hair entered.
He was attractive, being tall and muscular. He had sky blue eyes, which sparkled and fair skin. His light lips matched perfectly with it.
He went over to Chiron and whispered something to him.
Chiron nodded and told him, "Beatrice this is Allen, son of Aphrodite. Allen, show her around. New camper."
The Allen person nodded and walked out. I guess I had to follow him.
And that is what I did: followed him.
