So I changed some stuff. She's a little sassy, they actually have to build a relationship up. Ya know, things that are more realistic. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Pissed. I was beyond pissed. I had just found out that the only girl I've ever opened up to was dating that perverted sh*t head! I was heartbroken. Why him? Was I not good enough?
"Fuck!" I yelled. I was out in the middle of the forest on our land. I had walked off after I found out. No one ever came out here so no one would find me.... if they even bothered looking. I meandered around for a while trying to find a tree sturdy enough to stay upright while I blow off steam when out of the corner of my eye I see what looks like a stone wall.
'wonder why I never saw this before'
I walked about three meters before I realized that it was not only a wall, but a small cottage snuggled away deep in the forest by a gorgeous natural hot spring. This was a strange but quaint place, although I was fairly confused as to what a place like this was doing in our backyard and why none of us had seemed to find in our, ya know whole lives there? Moreover, who in their right mind would live near us? I decided I might as well see if someone was actually living here before going to the trouble of telling Reiji. Who knows, maybe it can serve as a hideaway.
As I approach the door, I realize that there was the faint smell of fresh bread and ...iron? No, blood. But there is something about it that I just couldn't identify. This place is definitely lived in, so now the question is finding out who and why. When I looked around, it was a room with a large bed, walls with all sorts of things painted on them, papers and lots, I mean LOTS of books. The paintings on the wall artfully placed, not overcrowding the wall and the place had electricity, which confused me. I walked through a door and down a short hallway and came upon what seemed to be a kitchen....with plumbing. Again, weird. I continued past the kitchen and found a few more rooms, mostly filled with papers, books, or paintings and a bathroom. I reach the backdoor of the cottage and heard singing. I followed the voice to the backyard hot spring.... with a beautiful girl bathing in it.

'It feels like one big warm hug' I was out back in the hot spring underneath the full moon singing to myself when I smelled something. It was a strange and alluring scent, deep like a forested mountain with a soft warmth to it. My head spun around so quickly I'm surprised I didn't give myself whiplash, my hair flowing through the water in the same direction creating a ring around my shoulders. My eyes scan the yard and within milliseconds land on a boy with white hair and red eyes staring at me...we both blushed a scarlet hue that put his eyes to shame.
"ummm....can I help you?"I asked quietly, unsure of what I should even start with.
"uhh no...s-sorry, but who are you?" came the stuttering reply.
"Y-Yukihime desu. You are?" I stuttered. He was the first person other than Karl that I had ever met; I'd probably be thrilled if I wasn't currently naked.
"Subaru. Can you uh... you know.. put some clothes on?" I flushed a brand new shade of fuschia and looked down.

So how did this happen again? Like, I did NOT expect someone to actually live here. Should I go back and tell the others? Who knows what they would do... actually I know exactly what they would do and that's even more terrifying. We're pretty fucked up.
"u-umm can you turn around?" she says in a quiet angelic voice, snapping me out of my daze. I pivoted around so fast I almost tripped on my own feet. How embarrassing.. but wait why do I even care what this dumb human thinks? It's not like she's special or cute or anything. I faintly heard water splashing in the background of my mind rant. After a minute I feel someone tug the back of my shirt. I turn around to get a good look at her and try to figure out what to do about the intruder living in our backyard. Her long white hair cascaded past her waist and stood bright against her pale skin that made her big seafoam green eyes pop. She was only about a head shorter than me, about up to my shoulders and was donning a grey slip dress - most likely pajamas. She looks around 16 give or take. Overall she's absolutely stunning.

Oh goodness, that was embarrassing. I can't believe the first time I meet someone new is when they walk in on me bathing. After getting out of the water and beginning to towel off, I use the opportunity to try and figure out who my new guest might be and more specifically, what he might be. All I can really see from behind is his back and shoulders, but let me tell you; this man works out. Whatever he is, he could very easily bend me in half. I quickly slip my silk pajamas on and walk over to him, pulling on the back of his shirt to let him know I'm finished. He turns around and I finally get a good look at him. Oh my, he actually very handsome. Why does the first guy I meet HAVE to be attractive? Of course. Although, I don't exactly have and points of comparison. His white hair drapes over his right eye and seems to stand about one head above me. He looks my age and wears clothes that suit him well; his white shirt and black jacket both torn and ragged looking at the bottom matched with distressed black jeans and black combat boots. He said his name was Subaru, right? If I recall correctly, last time Karl talked to me about his sons, a girl coming to stay with them. I'm pretty sure of his sons' names was Subaru. The youngest if I recall correctly, my age. I wonder if this is him.
"Why are you living here in a cottage in the middle of our forest?" He asked eyes narrowed in suspicion. His voice was rough and deep, as though when he did choose to talk he mostly yelled. We were in my room now, and I was looking out the window while sitting on the ledge. He stood in the corner, feet from the door with eyes locked on me like a cautious animal. It seems sadistic that I found it even remotely cute.
"I've lived her since before I was a year old. And 'your forest'? The forest belongs to the animals." I said as Aoi swooped in through the window and landed on my arm.

"...." I don't think she understood. "I mean that my family owns this land."
"Oh so you are Karl's son?" she asked, shocking me.
"You know him? And you're a vampire too aren't you." It had become glaringly clear that despite the fact she smelt somewhat human, this girl was much more.
"Well yeah. He is the one who lets me live here. And yes I am. Why do you ask?" she states it as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. Charming, another idiot.
"Just wondering." I decide to leave and walk towards the door.
"Ohh! Umm..."
"What?" I ask my patience running thin.
"Oh... um... are you leaving?" she asks, a hint of sadness hidden in her voice.

He turns around with a curious look and his eyes widen a fraction. I look down quickly. I don't want to be alone again. It's horrible, like being in a box surrounded by people that can't see you.
"I'll come back tomorrow. How about that?" I look up. A big smile spreads across my face and my heart flutters. "Mmm!"

She smiled and I walk out the door, my heart going haywire. 'Why did I say that?'
