Chapter Seven

Subaru Pov.

I wake up and feel something curled up into my chest. I look down and see that it's Yukihime. For a moment, I'm confused.'why is she in my room?....If this is a dream, I don't want to wake up.' I look around and realize, this isn't a dream, I feel asleep here last night. I look at her again. 'she really does look like a princess. My princess.' She looks peaceful, so I get up quietly and look at her again. I remember what happened last night and scowl. I should talk to him about that. I teleport back to my room and go to his study. I enter without knocking.

"Yes Subaru? I assume you need something, correct?" Father says, looking up at me.

"Something happened at the library last night." I say, and his face darkens instantly.

"Is Yukihime okay?" He asks, skillfully hiding the worry in his voice, but I still notice it. After all it's the same way I feel.

"Some men tried to take her. And they didn't exactly look like your typical library-goers. She screamed for me and I got there in time, so nothing happened. What are we gonna do?" I say, looking at him expectantly.

"Hmmm.... I will look into it. For now, keep a watchful eye on her at all times. Shouldn't be to difficult for you to spend more time with her, seeing how hard you've fallen for her already." He says, smirking and then disappearing before I could do anything, leaving blushing redder then I thought a vampire could.

Aoi Pov. (surprise!)

I watch the boy leave. Yu-chan is still sleeping soundly. About ten minutes pass, and Karl-san appears. I know what he wants. We leave Yu-chans room and go into the forest. I transform into my usual human form (A/N up top. I'm to lazy to describe) and put a sound-proof magic shield around us, so no one can see or hear us.

"I assume you're aware of last nights incident?" I ask, already knowing the answer. That Subaru boy saved me work, I didn't have to tell the overprotective (not that I'm one to talk) vampire king about it.

"Yes. Do you know if it's....them?" He asked, almost as if afraid of the answer I'll give him. I sigh. He should be.

"I believe that it could very well be." I say. The tense atmosphere is thick enough to cut with a knife. We stand in silence both lost in our own thoughts.

I flashback to when I first met my precious little Yu-chan.

Flashback~~

I was walking through the forest, thinking about everything and nothing at all. I was snapped out of my thoughts by rustling from a bush. A little girl tumbled out, laughing. I almost squealed at how cute she was! She couldn't be older than 6. She had pure white hair that ended past her waist. It was wildly curly with a pink orchid tucked in it behind her ear. She was wearing a strapless pink dress, with a maroon piece of fabric at the top. It puffed out at the bottom and she wore a maroon ribbon as a chocker necklace. She was barefoot and had a big smile across her face. I hid before she could see me. She stood up and just then a few fairies, nine-tailed black fox and a giant grey wolf appeared and started playing with her. I recognized the fox and wolf as my fellow spirit guardians. I came out and they saw me and transformed into their human forms as well.

"Well, if it isn't Ren the Fox and William the wolf. I never thought I'd find you playing with a huma-...she's not a human is she." I said after getting a good look at her. Ren shook his head, his black hair swaying slightly. He was tall. 6'7" and Will was the same. Rens hair was in a messy cut longer in the back, dull green-brown eyes, and two ear cuffs. He was very handsome. He disguised himself as a human high school student. He looked around 16, but we were all much older. Will had dirty blond hair, shorter than Rens, but messy. His eyes were hazel and both his ears pierced. Two cuffs on one and a black ball on the other. He was also disguising himself as a high schooler, but he look closer to 15. He had a bandage on the left side of his face, I can only assume he got into a fight.

"No. She's a vampire." Will said. The little girl stopped dancing with the fairies and came over to me. She had big light green eyes, they were very pretty. She smiled big and introduced herself.

"Hello! I'm Yukihime! Are you a queen? You look like a queen!" She stated as though it was the most obvious thing in the world. I couldn't help but laugh. This child was so full of light!

"No child. My name is Aoi, and I am not a queen, but thank you!" I smiled at her. It was at that moment that I decided that I would be her spirit guardian.

Flashback ends ~.~

She was very outgoing, even back then, but not as shy.

"We should return to see if she has awoken." I say snapping us out of our dazes.

"Yes indeed." He agreed. We went back to Yu-chan.

Third Person Pov.

As they arrived, Yukihime was already up and dressed. They all decided to go to the brothers mansion. They teleported to the front doors and walked to the living room. They were surprised to see everyone interrogating Subaru about Yukihime.

"Why does she smell like that?"

"I want to taste her, Ne Teddy?"

"She smelled sweet. I want a taste of Hime-chan!"

"Would you all back off!" Subaru yelled, effectively shutting them up. No one had noticed the presence of the three yet. Yukihime had hid behind Karl, so it looked as if Karl had brought a woman home to Ayato, who had finally noticed them.

"You got another women? Wow, this ones a catch! Nice going old man!" He said, causing the others to notice their presence in the room. The two sweat dropped and sighed.

"Ugghhh! Karl-san, your sons are idiots." Said Aoi. Karl only nodded, knowing he could do nothing to change the facts.

"Boys...this is Aoi. Yukihime spirit guardian. She is in her normal form." He stated to them. All the boys looked even more dumbfounded then when they found out that she could change into a human. Yui was just struck by her beauty, and not to surprised. A light sigh and 'Bakas' was heard from behind Karl, causing him and Aoi to laugh. The brothers and Yui where beyond confused until they noticed the long white hair sticking out from behind Karl. Yukihime stepped out from behind him, her nose stuck in a book she had brought. She had gotten bored quickly and had started reading. She walked over to Subaru on the couch, her eyes never leaving the book, and sat on his lap. His arms wrapped around her on instinct and pulled her back to his chest and put his head on her shoulder to see what she was reading. To everyone in the room, they looked like a couple. They were completely unaware of this though, they were absorbed into the words of the book in front of them.
