CHAPTER 17

I tell the driver my address. A few minutes later we arrive at my building. Jonathan and I live fairly close to each other.

We get out of the cab and walk into the building heading for the elevator.

"Now, if you don't remember my apartment is a lot more crapy than your's," I joke.

Jonathan laughs as I open my door.

"So just give me like 10 minutes and I'll be ready. You can do what you want." I tell him as I go rushing into my room.

I run to my closet and start throwing clothes all over my bedroom. I decide upon black legging with riding boots and a stripped shirt.

Quickly, I rush over to my bathroom and brush my teeth. When I look in the mirror I realize how much my hair is a disaster. I decide with just throwing it into a bun.

Before leaving my room I switch out my purses.

Walking out to Jonathan I ask,

"Ready?"

"Yeah," He says.

Together we walk out of the apartment building and walk to Noodles and Company.

"You seriously know how to use chopsticks?" I ask in disbelief.

"Yes!" Jonathan laughs.

"Well I can to!" I laugh.

"Oh really? Let me guess, you use them with both your hands?" He asks.

"Yes! The whole goal of using chopsticks is to somehow get the piece in your mouth with them!" I laugh defending myself.

"How about I teach you," Jonathan suggests.

"Okay," I laugh.

We both order a bowl of noodles.

"So you put both sticks in one hand," Jonathan explains.

I try to replicate what Jonathan is doing but it is not working.

"Ah, it isn't working," I laugh. "How about we try it my way,"

I take my chopsticks and show Jonathan how I use them which is the completely wrong way.

"So my team member and his girlfriend are coming in a few hours," Jonathan says getting serious.

"You told me that," I reply while eating my noodles.

"We were just going to have some dinner. You are staying right?" He asks.

"Yeah," I say with a mouth full of food. "Of course I would stay!"

"Okay good," Jonathan says laughing.

We finish our lunch and decide to go back to his apartment to hang out.

"Jonathan?" I ask.

"Yeah?" He answers.

"Can we bake cookies?" I ask.

"Sure, but I don't have any of the ingredients," He tells me.

"What do you mean you don't have the ingredients. Everyone has chocolate chips in their pantry!" I laugh.

"I am a hockey player, I can't have all that stuff in my pantry," Jonathan laughs along with me.

"Well than I guess we are going to the market," I tell him.
