"Come on Jamie, you're up!" Kyle shouted in my ear, nearly bursting my eardrum.
"No need to shout" I glared, getting up and grabbing my hat.
"Whatever babe," He smirked.
"Don't call me that," I said, walking up to home plate.
I stood there, bat up and waiting, for a good five minutes.
"We playing or what?" I asked, annoyed with Noah, who was pitching.
"Not," I heard Landon mutter behind me.
I turned around to see them all looking up.
I looked up at the sky to see dark clouds moving across the horizon.
"Agh," I groaned, turning on my heel and making my way back to the dugout. "Fucking rain,"
I grabbed all my stuff and went home, running halfway to make it before the storm hit.
Once home I turned on the weather to see what the storm would be like.
"With winds up to 50 miles per hour, and a 100% of rain," the weatherman was saying.
I groaned and shut off the TV. I decided to just go to sleep, not having great prospects for the new year.
