While all the dwarves were eating, I realized I only knew a few dwarves.

"Gandalf." I said.

"Yes Lin. What can I help you with?"

"I realized that I didn't know any of the dwarves names. Could you tell me all of their names?"

"Why of course. Now there is Dwalin, Balin, Ori, Nori, Dori, Oin, Gloin, Bofur, Bifur, Bombur, Fili and Kili."

"Hm. A lot of names Gandalf. You can tell some are related by the name that they have."

"Indeed."

"Tell me. Where is Thorin Oakensheild?"

The clatter quieted down.

"So it talks." Dwalin said.

"I talk, yes, but only when needed."

"Excuse me. I'm sorry to interrupt, but who are you?" Ori said innocently.

"You will find out when Thorin gets here." I said calmly.

"Why not tell us now?" Gloin asked.

"Because you do not need to know. Thorin needs to know and because you are here you will find out when Thorin gets here. I know that you will be around when Gandalf tells Bilbo."

"Tell me what?" Bilbo asked.

"Nothing."

"Anyways Gandalf I need to talk to you. I don't under stand..." Bilbo said to Gandalf when they went out into the hall.

Ori suddenly went up to them and said,"excuse me. I'm sorry to interrupt, but what should I do with my plate?"

Fili suddenly went up to him and grabbed the plate and started to throw the plates and silverware around. I even joined in with this. I remember when Ada and I started throwing around the cutlery just to annoy naneth. I remember the day that Gandalf came to my house.

〰flashback〰

I was sitting in a tree with my dragon, Squlan, when Treebeard came up to me with a man in his hand. It kind of looked like he was trying to strangle the man but I know that that would never happen because Treebeard is a very kind spirit but you don't want to get on his bad side. The man was Gandalf the grey. Treebeard just put Gandalf down and left. The last time Gandalf came to me, a dragon had killed my parents. Gandalf went under the tree and yelled up to me,

"I need someone to join me on an adventure."

I just sat there looking at him with a blank expression. Squlan growled lowly. I signalled for her to bring me down. I stood up and stepped onto her head. She lowered her head to the ground and I stepped off of her head. I walked up to Gandalf and said,

"To do what and with who?" I questioned.

"To reclaim one of the seven dwarven kingdoms from a dragon named Smaug and with thirteen dwarves and one other." He said.

"Who is the other?"

"An old friend of yours. Bilbo Baggins."

"Bilbo. I haven't spoken to him in over 20 years."

"Yes. But I'm sure if you remind him. He will remember you."

"Why should I help you? You do know the risk of coming to me right, Gandalf? I could have had Squlan burn you by now."

"And yet you didn't."

"That was because you come unexpectedly and I didn't want to burn the trees down. They have life in them as well. Now why should I help you?"

"Because that Smaug is a very strong dragon. You could have advantages if you were to tame him."

"I do not wish for a simple dragon to tame. My powers can tame others. I could even tame Sauron if I wanted to."

"You know that you could not tame Sauron. He would have been too strong for you." he said sternly.

"True but still I could make many things do my bidding with just the snap of my fingers."

"Listen if you want to do this quest, go to the Shire in one week. Look for Bilbo Baggins' little hobbit hole. I shall put a mark on it to show that it's the right house."

"You know I'm always early to things Gandalf. And besides I just got back from an errand. There were orcs that took my meal and I attacked them with Squlan. There were about 200 orcs that we took down in an hour."

*sigh* "Just turn up at the house if you want to come. All I'm asking is for you to tame the dragon and make it leave for good."

"We will see if I will or not, Gandalf the Grey."

"Then hopefully I will see you then Lindariel."

"Goodbye."

"Farewell"

〰flashback ends〰

That was an interesting day. The dwarves start to sing this song that is so funny that I have to join in.
(Above)
Blunt the knives and bend the forks!
Smash the bottles and burn the corks!
Chip the glasses and crack the plates!
That's what Bilbo Baggins hates!

Cut the cloth and trail the fat!
Leave the bones on the bedroom mat!
Pour the milk on the pantry floor!
Splash the wine on every door!

Dump the crocks in a boiling bowl;
Pound them up with a thumping pole;
And when you've finished, if they are whole,
Send them down the hall to roll!
That's what Bilbo Baggins hates!

I was laughing by the end of it. My hood had gone up a bit, showing my face. The dwarves suddenly looked at me and took in what I looked like.

"What?" I asked.

"Nothing my dear Lin. They are seeing your face for the first time. It is a surprise to them." Gandalf replied.

Suddenly there was a knock at the door.

Gandalf said, "He is here."

The King Under the Mountain had arrived.
