Gandalf went to open the door. I stood to the left of Gandalf. Outside was a dwarf with black hair with silver streaks in it.
"Gandalf." He said, "I thought you said this place would be easy to find. I lost my way, twice. I wouldn't have found it at all if it weren't for that mark on the door."
"Mark?" Said Bilbo, "there is no mark on that door. I had it painted a week ago."
"There is a mark." Replied Gandalf. "I put it there myself. Bilbo Baggins allow me to introduce the leader of this company, Thorin Oakenshield."
"So, this is the hobbit." Thorin said, "tell me Mister Baggins have you done much fighting?"
They went on talking about weapons and if Bilbo had done any fighting ever in his life. Suddenly I heard.
"Thought as much. He looks more like a grocer than a burglar."
I spun around at him.
"I would not say that Thorin, not when you are in my presence.""And who might you be? A wanderer? A little princess?"
My anger grew. My necklace (above) started to get hot. Gandalf apparently knew that I was about to call Squlan. He knew the risk of bringing me here.
"Unless you don't want my help on this journey then you better be quiet." I spoke to him in a deadly quiet voice.
The other dwarves pointed their weapons at me, thinking that I was about to kill their beloved king. And I would have if Gandalf didn't step in.
"And why would I want, or need, your help?" He asks.
"Thorin, I would suggest going to eat while I deal with her."
"Alright."
Thorin left to eat. I spun around at Gandalf and looked at him with a murderous gaze.
"Please Lin," he begged. This is new, I thought.
"Don't burn down the house."
"And why would I do that while my two friends are still inside the house." I said to him in a dead tone.
"That is true. But please don't call Squlan. She will make it even worse."
I sighed.
"Fine. Now come Gandalf. It's time for me to introduce myself."I walked into the dining room and sat down across from Thorin. I could tell every dwarf was still tense.
"Now Gandalf, can you tell me why a woman is here?" Thorin asked.
"I believe that she was about to explain. Lin?"
I took off my hood to show what my face looked like. My bright turquoise eyes looked like they dug into a person's soul. My pointed ears visible.
"My name is Linderiel. I was asked to come here by Gandalf." I looked at Bilbo. "My dear Bilbo, I apologize for not telling you the real reason that I came here. I only told you half the truth. Bilbo when I first met you I knew that you were made for adventure. Now is your chance. I came here specifically to help Gandalf recruit you into this company that I will be helping out in."
"What?"
I heard fourteen voices at once. It is different to hear all their voices mixed together. I knew though that most of them were just shocked to hear me talk so much. Bilbo just said it because I told him the real truth I came here. I looked at Thorin to see an unpleasant look on his face.
"There is no way I am letting a woman let alone an elf in this company."
"Fine with me. I'll just tell you now that I am very valuable."
"How so?"
I smiled devilishly.
"I am more powerful than Saruman the White. Than the Nazgul. And Azog the Defiler."
I watched as Thorin froze at his name.
"So you know who he is. Hmmm."
"Do not speak of him, his defiling days ended long ago."
"Very well. Gandalf I shall be on my way if Thorin doesn't agree."
"Thorin I would advise that you should let Linderiel on this journey. She can very reliable when you don't judge her." Gandalf said.
"Fine." Thorin exclaimed. "Balin give Bilbo and the woman a contract."
