Chapter 2: School

I was woken up by something, or someone. I looked at the edge of my bed, to find someone sitting by my feet. The chills went down my spine. I knew if I were to move, this thing will attack me. I was laying there, staring into the eyes of a demon. Then all of a sudden, it looked at me straight in the eye, and said, "Well, it took a while for you to wake up..... Why don't you come with me and I'll show you something." 

I just lay there on my bed, trying not to move. I can feel the demon moving closer, and closer. It's saying my name. It's voice gets louder and louder, as it gets closer. "Alexia.....Alexia......ALEXIA!"

I jump with fear, and woke up from that terrible nightmare. I see mom and Alexis trying to wake me up. I was breathing heavily, and covered in sweat. I sat up and looked at my mom, and Alexis. "Are you okay?" Asked mom, she sounded worried.

I sat there looking at the area the demon was sitting, "I..I..I-" 

"I am watching you." Something whispered into my ear.

I had fear written all over my face. My mom looked worried. She said that she'll call the school and tell them I'm sick. I immediately told her not to. I don't want this thing to be watching me. I get off the bed and go to the bathroom to get ready for school. Maybe I can forget what happened, with work. 

I got ready and had breakfast. We got in the car, and drove to our new school. Within a few minutes, we turned in the school parking lot. Mom parked the car and we walked to the front of the school. We opened the front door and walked inside. There was a tall women and a kid sitting in the foyer. "Oh, look they're here!" Said the women. "Hello, I'm the principle, Ms. Clark and welcome to Sun Valley High School!" 

"Hello, I'm Riley Lee, or Mrs. Lee and this Alexis and Alexia." Said mom.

"Well, nice to meet you. This is your guide for the week, Avion, he will make sure that you guys know where your classes are, and give you a detailed tour of the school." Said Ms. Clark. "Mrs. Lee, I just need you to sign some papers for the girls, and you can be on your way. You guys can go and start the tour."

We walked up to Avion and he start going on and on about the school and it's history. Anyways, after the tour, which felt like forever, he showed us to our first class. "Since you two have the schedule as me, it will be easier for me to guide you class to class." He said. "Let's go our lockers first."

We walked down a huge hallway full of lockers and paintings on the wall. "Here are your lockers." He said, pointing at two lockers, that were surprisingly taller than all of us.

School was pretty boring, until it was lunch. By that mean, fights. We walked into cafeteria, to see fights happening at almost every table. I looked around for an empty table and found one right by the food counter. Mom already packed our lunch, so we walked over to the table and sat down. We ate lunch while listening to what was going on in the cafeteria, it honestly sounded like mutiple wrestling matching going on at the same time. We sat there peacefully, until someone came up to our table and said, "Look everyone, it's the new students, looks like they don't have any friends and are sitting with each other!"

Everyone starts laughing. Well, that joke will not last long because my sister isn't the person to just let people make fun of you. Alexis slams the table, and just like that the cafeteria goes silent. "Yeah, stop making fun of us. We all know you don't have friends, so you 'try' to make fun of others so you can finally make some!" Alexis shouts at the guy, she pauses for a minute. "Oh, and don't ever touch me again, don't ever speak to me again, don't ever look at me again!"

The cafeteria fills with 'oohs' and the guy walks away without saying something back. Now the guy knew not to mess with my sister. We walked out of the cafeteria and found Avion staring at us. "Why would you do that!" He finally spit out.

"Why not?" Said Alexis.

"You don't know who you're messing with, he will make your life miserable." Avion says.

"He can try, but he knows not to mess with me." She said.

"And you why didn't you stop her!" He said to me.

"I don't know, maybe because I know my sister very well, and everyone who messes with her never speak to her again." I say.

"Whatever, just don't do that again, or you'll regret it." He says. "Let's go grab our books for next class."

We grabbed our books and headed to our next class. Let's skip to after school because school was boring. 

Alexis and I walked to our car and got in. "How was school guys?" Asked mom.

"Great!" Said Alexis.

"Good." I said

"Well, that's great!" Said mom.

Mom drove off, and within a few minutes we were home. We got out the car and went inside our house. I took my containers out of my lunch bag and put them in the sink. I took my backpack and headed upstairs to change. When I reached my room, I opened the door. The second my door was wide open and I looked inside, I wanted to scream. There was a creature, the one from my nightmare, sitting on the side of my bed, staring into my sole. I stood there in shock, until my sister came upstairs and asked what was wrong. I looked at her and then the area where the demon creature was once sitting. The second I lost eye contact with it, it disappeared into thin air. I didn't say anything and walked into my room, as if nothing happened. I could see the worried look on my sister's face. 

I closed the door and put my backpack near my desk. Still in shock, I walked towards the bed and sat down. I then took a good look around my room for something that was out of place, nothing. I got up and walked towards my closet. I opened the closet door and saw the paper I found when I was exploring the basement. I picked it up and put it on my desk. I picked out an outfit and changed. I then grabbed my laptop and started researching different languages. After half an hour of research I've finally decoded it. It said "You've made a mistake coming here. You better leave before the nightmares. I'll ask you once, but once you move in completely.....IT WILL BE THE END!"

I immediately dropped the note, closed my laptop and ran out of the room. What if it meant the nightmares I had last night? What if it was targeting me? I kept asking myself those question the entire day. My mom and my sister were worried for me, they kept asking if I was okay. I nodded and moved on, but they knew something was bothering me. After dinner, I walked to my room and picked up the note from the floor. I walked towards the window. I opened the window and I heard something whisper in my ear, "Throwing away the note won't make me leave, you just need to learn that this is not your house....It's mine."

I quickly opened the window, tore up the note and watched as the pieces of paper flew in the distance. Once all the pieces of paper were out of sight, I closed the window. I walk toward my bed and sat down, still with worried written all over my face. I closed the light and then went to bed, to wake up to something I will never forget.
