What had I done for this to happen? It's my fault, it's all my fault. I sat along the road looking at the clear blue sky. Did I know running away would potentially cost my life? No.

I see a familiar face approach me. Dad. "Leave me alone, I want nothing to do with you," I shout.

"Well, you're gonna regret running away for sure now," He said.

I got up and started walking in the opposite direction of him. He walked faster and faster by the second. I didn't know what to do other than continue walking. By the time I reached the end of the street, he stood right behind me. I look over my shoulder, terrified to see him up close again after years and years of running from him. "You thought you could run from me," He whispered, it was so quiet I could barely make out what he was saying.

Right then, a white van pulled over, "Get her." He said very quietly.

Three prominent men got out of the vehicle, tall and scary. I tried taking a few steps back, but Dad didn't let me. He didn't look scared at all. "You know it was fun while it lasted." He said. "Fun to see you suffer."

One of the men grabbed me, my phone fell out of my pocket and onto the sidewalk. While the other men tied my hand and legs together. I tried to scream but it was too late. I saw Dad laughing, as the men drove away with me in the back seat. Tied up and exhausted, I didn't know what to do. I think I passed out, I don't remember anything that happened after that.

I woke up in a cold, dark room. There was one light in the middle of the room and the room was empty, other than the chair I was tied to. One door to escape. One door right in front of me.

Suddenly a tall man, who was wearing a mask, walks into the room. Behind him, I can see a bright hallway. I look out the door, knowing I couldn't get out of this room. "Alright, now you're going to listen to me. Got it." He said as I nodded. "Your sister is being haunted by the demon from the year 2022."

"What does that have to do with me."

"Look kid, if your sister solves that case she's gonna get a million-dollar prize. We need you to take all of the evidence she found and give it to us."

"No, she's already mad at me and she's living with the police officer that put our mom in jail."

"Kid, I'm only gonna ask you once, if you don't do as we say then you're the one suffering, got it."

I nodded knowing that I could die if I didn't do what they said. He closed the door and left me there, there in the cold, dark room. If only I could get out of this, maybe if I scream. No, I can't do that they're gonna hear it and beat me up for doing that. I glanced across the room, looking for something, someone, to help me escape.

The door opened, and dad walked into the room. "What do you want? Haven't you done enough damage already?" I shout at him.

"Well, I don't think I have done enough!" He shouted and grabbed a knife.

He lunged at me with the knife. I tried to move, but it was too late. The knife dug into my stomach, ripping through my shirt. I felt the blood. I didn't know what to do. I looked up to see dad smiling at me. "There, now I have done enough damage," He said, smirking at me.

I felt weaker and weaker by the second. He took hold of the knife and took it out of my stomach, making the blood come out faster. I watched as the floor slowly filled with my blood. I felt dizzy. I felt like I was gonna die. I looked at him one last time, one last time... Before I passed out.

When I woke up, there was blood all over the floor and me. I was feeling weaker than ever before. I didn't know what to do. I was stuck there. I was stuck in a nightmare. Just like my sister. Just like all those times my sister wouldn't wake up.

I knew now just how bad those nightmares were. I knew now what pain she was going through. I know now that I need to protect her at all costs. I need to fight my dad, but I was going to need all the help I could get.
