Chapter 4: The Clues

The figure looked like... Avion. I walked towards it and when I got close enough, I recognized him. "Avion?" I said.

"Yes, it is I Avion." He said. "What are you doing here?"

"You know, why not explore an abandoned house." I say.

I couldn't tell him why I was really there. The demon would kill me if I did. "What are you doing here?" I ask.

"I heard about what happened to you today and I have researched the story of the murder in 2020 so much, that I know where one of the witnesses lived. I decided to skip school to find the clues to find the murderer." He explained.

"Oh, cool." I say.

Awkward silence. We looked at each other. Then I finally decided to tell him why I was there. "Avion, can you keep a secret?" I say.

"Yeah, sure." He says.

"I know who the murderer is and where the bodies are. The reason why I didn't wake up this morning is because I was stuck in a nightmare with the demon who lives in our house." I say.

"Oh... Wait.... You know where the bodies are?" He says.

"Yeah, why?" I said.

"If we can find some evidence of who the murderer is and show them where the bodies are, maybe the demon that's bothering you will go away?" He says with excitement.

"Yeah and we will be on the news for solving the most unsolvable murders." I say.

He nods. I give him one of the flashlights from my backpack and he goes upstairs, while I explore the first floor. 

After a few minutes, I heard Avion shouting my name. "Alexia! Come here!" He shouts

I run up the stairs and walk into the room he was in. It was an old bedroom. It had broken floorboards everywhere and it was filled with dust and dirt. Avion was sitting ont he bed with a box in his hands. I go up to him and examine the box. I saw that in my dream last night, it was beside the demon when he was sitting in front of me. "I've seen that box in my dream last night." I say. "The demon took the key out of that box and opened a wardrobe where the dead bodies were."

"Oh, then we need this box. I saw a bunch of CDs that said murderer on them over there i that wardrobe." He said, pointing at an old wardrobe.

I walked over to the wardrobe and opened it. I took out some of the CDs and put them in my backpack. I also put the box Avion found in my backpack. "Let's go to my house and watch what on the CDs." I said.

"Sure." He said.

We walked down the stairs and out the back door. Hopped the fence and crossed the street to my house. I unlocked the door and we went inside. We walked to my room and I grabbed my laptop. I sat on the right side of my bed and Avion sat on the other. I put the CD in the CD player in my laptop. Security camera footage of the murder was playing. I tried all the CDs and all of them had different angles of the murder. I don't know what happened next cause I blacked out. The next minute I was in the room I was in this morning. The demon in front of me with a huge grin on it's face. It kind of looked like the Grinch, but it was red and dripping in blood. "Well, you found it... You found the clues. All you need to do is find the wardrobe." It said.

"What do you mean? The wardrobe is in the basement." I say.

"No it's not. It disappears and reappears in different locations of the house. That's why you saw it in your nightmare last night." It said.

"Oh." I say.

Then I blink and I'm back in my bedroom, with Avion trying to wake me up. "It happened again, didn't it?" I ask.
