Michelangelo and Master Kato had woken up packed up their cart, had a cold breakfast and once their now rested and fed horses were reattached to the wagon they were once more on their way headed for their destination.
The horses were huge in size in comparison to Michelangelo and it made him a little nervous despite this his natural affinity to animals it was clear & he bonded well with them especially after been giving the task of feeding them. A way to a horses heart was through their stomach apparently.
Michelangelo was being trusted to be in control of the horses today as he held the reigns which he was excited about while Kato gave him directions as Michelangelo had no idea where they were going, as Kato kept an eye on his new student he decided it was best to keep his new pupil's mind occupied with tasks so he had less time to think & to pine for his family, it had worked well on the ship after all. The way Michelangelo had clutched the photo of his family as he slept and faithfully wrote in his diary as instructed by Donnie before he had gone to bed last night told him his family were very much on his mind.
Meanwhile back in New York
Splinter had given his backing to Leonardo's plan to attack the base of the Henchmen of Shredder and Shredder himself while it was normally against his better judgement to go on the attack & his pure belief that ninjutsu should be used for self defence or at best defence of others and also he felt battles such as these were best carried out on neutral ground and preferred to let Shredder be the aggressor he felt it was the best way to gage what the enemy did or didn't know as far as Michelangelo's whereabouts were concerned and to see what Shredder might divulge about his meeting with Kato to reassure himself all was well and his trust in Kato was justified. It is his son's doubts were causing him to having niggling worries and doubt himself a little. He wished Kato had told of his meet up with Shredder it would so done much to set his mind at ease.
So Splinter was not only supporting the plan he was also going to join them in it's execution, Shredder had a tendency to gloat especially if he thought he had the upper hand & Splinter felt his presence would get the information out of Shredder due to this, if they came into close proximity, So they were on the way to meet up with April and Casey and The Mighty Mutanimal's too.
Shredder's would have Foot-bots as well as their henchmen all of whom were formidable so they needed all the help they could have at their disposal it was all hands on deck but Karai was off the grid which worried Leo but they had no time to dwell on it, they had to go and go now.
Leonardo led their Mutant and human allies to the warehouse and noticed it seemed quiet, almost too quiet they didn't seem to have any guards or anything as they creeped ever closer. Using Stealth to get close as possible to try and work out where all the henchmen were situated.
Although Shredder's voice could be heard from inside in conversation with Tiger Claw and Bradford, the little bit of the conversation they caught was however disheartening,
Shredder talked about 'shelling the little turtle like a walnut when he gets hold of him' Raphael punched his fist into his other palm in anger, that had to be in reference to Mikey.
"They know? What if they have him already?" Raphael said anxiously,
"Well they said 'if they get hold of him' which means they haven't got him yet, that's good right?" April added,
"It's a tiny positive but no more than that, if they are hunting him down then it's probably only a matter of time" Donnie bemoaned,
"Let's remember if they are here in New York then they aren't in Japan tracking him, they can't be in two places at once" Splinter added, trying to find a positive in this awful development.
