Eula was told to assassinate the love of her life. Her response? Yes. She had nothing else to say, other than.. "yes". Today, was the day... that Eula committed the worst thing she has ever done in her life. She did it for her bloodline.. for the blood that runs everywhere beneath her veins. The blood of an assassin. The blood of a traitor.. it belonged all to her. That night, she was at the hideout's personal bar, drinking more than she ever did before. 5 rounds. 6 rounds. 7.. rounds.. she regret it all. She hated her bloodline. She hated her ancestors more than ever. She cried after downing drink by drink.
All the drinks were making her very drowsy, making Eula forcefully murmur things to herself as she laid her head on the bar table. Her blinking slowed down, her eyelids slowly closing. All the time.. she was thinking on how to spend the rest of her life.. perhaps drinking... She was losing her train of thought and mindfulness.
"Slowly going insane huh?" Scaramouche said, behind the counter.
"..mm..hmm.."
"I know you weren't up for the job, I'll send someone else then-"
Eula gripped onto his clothing, looking at him with a stern look.
"Oh. I didn't know you loved that outrider so so much.. I guess it can't be it. Your not up for the job, but you don't want to kill her? Is that your point?"
"..Yeah.."
"Go on. Explain, Lawrence."
"She.. she's all I ever had.. ever since.. my mom.. left.."
"So that's your point. But it doesn't seem right. If you loved that outrider, why did you injure her?"
"I..I.. I didn't know.. I didn't know I would be like this.."
"Nice conversation, now go to sleep before you get more drunk."
It hurt to take one step.. even more for another. It felt like walking on hot, burning coal barefoot. Eula had to hold onto the walls, which to her seemed like wobbling pieces of paper. Breathing heavily, she wished, for the first time, that she learned to be a swordsman like her dad.. not some idiot wielding a claymore..
Amber POV: Monstadt Hospital
Amber woke up, covered in bandages. She felt no pain, but felt like she couldn't move her lower half of her body. She groaned, trying to lift her body upwards. She saw someone. By her bedside. But when she looked closer, the person wasn't there. Amber slumped back onto the hospital bed, remembering what happened to get her in the hospital in the first place. Eula. It was her fault. But that side of Eula never existed to Amber. To her, Eula was a cheerful, humorous person that cared for people.
It hurt to remember somebody's past without being in their shoes. Amber loved Eula, but she didn't know if Eula could say and think the same. After all, Amber never knew she deserved to experience true love for a lifetime. Suddenly, she felt a sharp, painful pain in her lower rib. Closing her eyes on effect, she gasped surprisingly. She opened her eyes to a very blurry vision. As her vision started to clear, she saw someone, but her beside, again, except it was much more clear and she could see who it was..
Eula.
Eula.
Eula..
Out of everybody.. Eula?
She couldn't picture how she could have disappeared the first time she was there and how she was here now, in the same position. And she was in,, a terrible shape.
"Amber.. I'm sorry.."
