Sam glanced over at George, who sat on the couch, gazing outside. He had been entrusted with George's care while Technoblade abruptly left.
"So, George... Will you ever speak again? I really want to know what they did to you so I can try to help," Sam pleaded calmly. George shook his head. Sam had been attempting for hours, but all his efforts only resulted in talking to himself.
Their thoughts were interrupted when the door swung open, startling both boys. George quickly noticed a stranger hiding behind Sam, who stood his ground.
The man raised an eyebrow. "Who are you? Are you George? I thought he..."
Sam interrupted the stranger. "I'm Sam, Techno's assistant..."
The man in the white hood wore a disbelieving smile. "I thought he worked alone?"
Techno appeared behind him. "I do," he growled. "Punz, stop talking to them and help me bring Quackity inside!"
Overwhelmed and bewildered by the sudden appearance of new faces, George wondered who Quackity was not exactly thinking straight to remember.
The two men returned, dragging a gagged man with them. George recognized his face; it was Quackity, the guy from the prison. How did he end up here?
George's thoughts were interrupted by a familiar voice. His eyes widened, and his mouth fell open.
"Hello, Georgie..."
A chilling voice sent shivers down his spine. Sam froze too, sensing the fear emanating from George.
"Dreamer..." Sam's voice came out hoarse.
Dreamer smiled at Sam. "Honestly, stranger, I'm not entirely sure myself... but it seems you have something of mine." He gestured towards George, who hid behind Sam, trembling uncontrollably.
Sam took a step back, pulling George with him. "I don't think he wants to talk to you..."
A warning shot from a gun reverberated through the house. With his ears ringing, George covered his face and tried to distance himself, as terror threatened to overwhelm him.
"Dreamer! No shooting inside the house!" Techno screeched, rushing through the front door with wild eyes.
"Don't make me ask again," Dreamer threatened, pointing the gun at Sam's head. His finger toyed with the trigger, as if he fantasized about shooting Sam at that very moment.
George emerged from behind Sam, surprising him. Sam turned to him questioningly, but George was staring up at Dreamer. Dreamer opened his arms, and George cautiously moved into his embrace, tightly winding his own arms around himself. The hug was brief, but the fear in George's eyes was evident. Fear and confusion...
Dreamer let go and turned to Techno. "Who is this random guy, and why is he with George? I thought I told you he couldn't be around others!" Dreamer snapped. George hid behind Sam once more.
Technoblade remained composed. "This is Sam, my assistant. He's obedient, for the most part. If you want me to keep him away from George, I will do my best."
Dreamer didn't seem fazed as he glared at Sam. "'Obedient?'" Dreamer echoed. "Does whatever you want? If he doesn't do the same for me, I'll blow his brains out. Understand, Sam? Techno?"
Techno nodded, and Sam looked at George before affirming with a nod.
"Sam, go to your room. You have one, right?" Dreamer asked, his voice laced with an edge. Sam nodded sadly, casting a final glance at George before leaving for his room.
Dreamer was now in control of the house, and anyone who defied him would face death. That much was clear to Sam. George turned his gaze towards the masked Dreamer, his mind swirling with uncertainty. George absentmindedly picked at his nails, avoiding direct eye contact with Dreamer. Dreamer tilted George's chin up, forcing their eyes to meet. George whimpered softly, eliciting a low chuckle from Dreamer.
"Missed me, Georgie?" Dreamer smirked. George couldn't quite grasp his own emotions, but driven by obedience, he nodded.
As long as I obey Dreamer, maybe I won't get hurt...
Dreamer released his hold on George's chin and walked over to the bed, inspecting it before taking a seat. "Come, sit," he patted the fabric beside him. George complied, sitting down while averting his gaze, as if there was an intriguing painting on the wall.
"I missed you so much in there..." Dreamer sighed with fondness. "Your appearance," he turned to George, who continued to focus on the invisible artwork. "Your essence..."
George's unease grew as he sensed the direction this conversation was taking.
"When you're all alone in that place, you have plenty of time to think... to imagine..." George nervously bit his lip, only half-listening to Dreamer's words. "I desired so much that I couldn't have in there..."
George trembled anxiously. Dreamer placed his hand on George's leg, prompting him to look up. Their eyes locked momentarily. "You weren't there, my sweet, sweet George..." Dreamer spoke in a hushed tone. "Look at me," Dreamer commanded. George had no choice but to comply, reluctantly meeting Dreamer's gaze.
"There you are, my beautiful Georgie..." Dreamer brushed a strand of hair away from George's eyes. George turned his head away, but it was forcefully turned back by Dreamer. "Come on now, don't be like that!" Dreamer's voice betrayed a mixture of anger and pleasure.
George stared into the lifeless eyes of Dreamer's mask, his discomfort intensifying. He attempted to pull away when he noticed a knife in Dreamer's grasp. Dreamer gripped his shoulders tightly. "No, you can't just escape," a wicked, sinister smile played on his lips.
He was enjoying this moment.
In a sudden twist, George twisted his body, catching Dreamer off guard, and managed to free himself, darting towards the door. But Dreamer was faster and caught hold of his wrist, swiftly flipping him around and pinning him against the door, restraining his hands above his head. George's stomach churned with fear.
Dreamer lifted his mask, revealing a mouth twisted into a wicked, sickening smile. He chuckled. "You've become quite the fighter. Admirable, Georgie!"
George turned away from Dreamer, who held a knife dangerously close to his throat. "You see, I've been locked up for months without any entertainment, without- Well, without you. So now, your resistance is a problem."
George didn't know how to react. He could only surmise that Dreamer's eyes were filled with fury...
I won't leave this room unscathed...
