First Person P.O.V - (Y/N)

-It was the beginning of January, and usually I wake up with Eclipse laying down at my side tight and snug against me, but today I hadn't. I think nothing of it, going downstairs and meeting Donna in the dining room, who seemed a little bit more timid than usual. I sit in my spot, looking her up and down before I take my fork and stab one of the many things on my plate.
-"Good morning." I say, and she glances at me before looking down at her own plate.
-"Good morning." She mutters back, and it is then that I can't take a single bite.
-"What's wrong?"
-"N-Nothing, don't worry about it."
-I stare her down and I watch her shrivel back into her seat, and I almost ask again, but then Angie rushes in through the air.
-"WE CAN'T FIND ECLIPSE!" Angie absolutely erupts my ear drums and I swear I got deaf for a couple seconds. "They're gone! We left the window open and they're gone!!"
-"Angie, I'm sure they're--"
-"We're so dumb! Absolutely idiotic losers!! How could we have been so reckless--"
-"Silence! Where's your spouse doll? Yell at someone else." Angie goes quiet. "Bet their ass left you at the alter for obvious reasons-- Look, Eclipse was born in the wilderness and they'd been coming to the house to see us for days. They're going to be fine out there, they can be an indoor and an outdoor cat. It might be cold, but they're going to be fine."
-"But it's cold!"
-"And Donna made Eclipse a shit because??"
-"The shirt is not a winter jacket."
-"Eclipse has got fur, Angie. Eclipse is still a wild animal who is meant to survive out in the wilderness, they will be okay. They've made it alive as far as they have, right?"
-"I guess."
-"Take a deep breath and sit down for breakfast. Eclipse is okay."
-Angie floats over and sits down, and breakfast was spent most quiet unless I sparked a conversation. Angie was a bit more quiet than usual, and it was so odd to see her genuinely worried about something other than Donna's mental wellbeing and being fearful of me and my capabilities. To be honest, I was a bit worried as well, but I didn't let that show. I know what's out there, but I also know that the kitty knows what's out there as well. Or at least I hope.
-I ate rather quickly and then I took our plates to wash them myself, the basement felt a bit smothering now that Eclipse wasn't around to follow me down the elevator. Pressing the buttons to the lift, they didn't work, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of irritation as I press over and over. There's nothing that works, and I even check the fuse box to make sure it's in line.
-"Ah, of course. Just my luck." I say, taking out a dead fuse before turning around to head for the storage room. "Creepy ass basement, let's goooo."
-Travelling about this place always made me feel uncomfortable, the kinds of things that could be around the corner. I know Donna well enough that she wouldn't play tricks on me on purpose, unless you wanted to break me and give me a little scare. She has done it before, giggling to herself as I worried about it figure that I saw in the corner of my eye. Aside from the one time when I spotted that, and she didn't laugh at all. That however, scared the absolute fuck out of both of us. I would have never guessed that Donna could be afraid of something like that, no but I suppose the fear of the unknown is an infectious to anybody. Or maybe she was just scared of the fact of another person being up here, she does tend to be rather afraid of the idea of other people.
-I entered the room and found a working fuse in one of the boxes, dust coating my finger tips before I wiped them off on the handkerchief I keep handy. I don't want the yellow of my outfit to be any more stained than the little bit of tea that I dribbled on my sleeve.
-The door to the storage room creaked, and some sort of extra sense in me kicked in, and I found myself backing up and into the locker. I closed it, the door luckily not squeaking at all, before I looked through the cracks. The figure walked into the room, the light far too dim for me to make them out, but it took me a minute to catch on. It took her voice more so.
-"(Y/N)?" Donna asked out my name. "The elevator is dead, are you down here?"
-I push the door open and this somehow causes her to squeal and jump, and I freeze in the doorway. Her face had released from contortion, giving me a look of what the fuck is wrong with you before I burst out laughing. I step out, hands going to my knees.
-"H-Holy shit, I didn't even mean to." I explain, continuing to laugh as the expression is a strong image in my head. Hell, even the way she screamed was humorous. "I thought you were someone else!"
-"Who else would I be?!"
-"I don't know?? You're basement is creepy Donna!" I take a deep breath, before I laugh again, trying to capture it in my chest, but it keeps escaping me.
-It's then that she smiles with me, my giggles are contagious and unavoidable, and then she's laughing with me. "Y-You're right." She admits. "I can't believe you got me."
-"I didn't even do it on purpose!"
-"I know!" She covers her face for a moment, laughing into her palms before she uncovers them and I swear I could see sparkles on her smile, crinkling up her eye as she couldn't even see me. "You're so mean!"
-"Me? Mean??" I chuckle. "You tell that to the shadows you put in my peripherals. You got payback!"
-"Are you starting a war right now?"
-"I think I am!"
-"Angie and I might not be able to win at tag but I swear to you, we can win a game of scares."
-"Says the girl who just squeaked louder than the locker hinges even did."
-"Don't make fun of me!"
-And we're laughing together once again.

----

-It was nearing darkness when I caught a glimpse out the window, a little figure that looks just like a cat rushing into the bushes. I walk towards the window and I look again, before I see those cat eyes glaring through me, shining a bright orange.
-If I bring the cat back inside now, it would certainly help with Donna's guilt, and definitely help with Angie's worries. On top of that, I do miss having the cat in the house despite any problems it might cause. I find myself going outside and approaching the edge of the forest to follow the cat. But when I approach them, Eclipse backs away further into the trees. I think about just letting them run, but then they meow to me, sounds beckoning me through the trees. Once again, it's my curiosity that drags me through the woods, and I'm following the furry fellow through vines and such.
-Where will you take me? What are you going to show me?? Have you found other cats, or perhaps a treasure that could change me? Or perhaps, as I'm watching you approach a stump and slowly transform before my eyes, you brought me here to trap me. Perhaps, as I freeze to the ground and watch your glowing orange cat eyes turn into something of black seeping mold that looks almost wet.. I really should've thought this through.
-But we all know, curiosity killed the cat.
