EPILOGUE:

Audrielle stormed into the Amour estate, anger coursing through her veins as she looked up to see her ex husband walking down the grand stairway.

"I-"

"We need to talk." Audrielle snapped, pointing her finger at Leo. Leo looked down at Audrielle in surprise with a hint of amusement slowly forming on his face.

"I'll call you back soon. Make sure those documents get to my office by tomorrow afternoon." Leo mumbled into the phone before hanging up and shoving the device into his pocket.

"What brings you storming into my home, Audrielle?" Leo asked as he now stood in front of her. Suddenly Audrielle was flooded with emotions, his cologne whirlwinding around her as he towered above her, his dark green eyes hypnotising her.

Shaking her head, she pulled herself out of his spell and back to reality. Orlando. Their son. Texas. "You didn't think to tell me about this trip to Texas with our son for his birthday? For the whole week?!" She yelled, throwing her arms in the air dramatically.

Leo looked down at Audrielle confused. The Formula One Grand Prix? He told her weeks ago. He even asked for her approval and she gave it.

"I told you weeks ago, Amore."

Audrielle spun around, letting out a huff of laughter. "Stop calling me that, Leo. We're no longer together anymore, remember? Also I do not recall any conversation between eachother about a fucking holiday for his birthday."

"I asked you last month. I didn't even book it until I had your approval. I asked you while you were at my house with that fucking peste, Sebastian. You agreed weeks ago."

(Translation: pest)

"Oh get off your high horse, Leo and drop this childish behaviour! Sebastian is my partner. He makes me happy and you should be content that I'm in a happy and healthy relationship. And nope, that conversation doesn't ring a damn bell."

"Mom, he did ask you." Orlando's voice suddenly echoed through the space as he appeared from the living area. Audrielle whipped her head towards him before looking back at Leo. They looked so much alike. The face structure, the dark strands of hair but Orlando had his mother's honey pot brown eyes.

Audrielle sighed, running her hand through her hair loosely as she felt the phone in her pocket vibrate. Couldn't people just do their jobs properly the first time? Ignoring the call, she turned her attention back to the conversation.

"I even invited you and your partner. VIP access to the event and Lando even got to meet his favourite drivers. A five star hotel for the week. I was willing to pay for everything for you, Audrielle. I emailed the passes to you but then at the dinner you decided to not come yet agreed to let me take our son out for his fourteenth birthday." Suddenly that night flashed back to Audrielle. How she sat at the table with her ex-husband sitting across from her, Sebastian on the side, Orlando sitting next to his father and the glass of red wine that was going down too well.

You could probably say she was a little tipsy when dessert was served.

"Okay, maybe it's now coming back to me. Sorry." Audrielle muttered, turning away from Leo and his intoxicating gaze.

"I have the chef cooking fresh pasta for dinner tonight. Would you like to join us?"

Audrielle looked around the room, thinking of an answer before finally nodding her head lightly. She couldn't dare turn down the offer of freshly cooked pasta.

Leo's smile didn't reach his eyes, but the flash of hurt didn't go past Audrielle. She could tell that Leo still loved her, even though it had been ten years since their divorce.
