"Scott, Malia, Leo, and Lydia are going out to Canaan. He said to go through with the plan as long as it doesn't destroy his house." Liam explains as Hayden and I walk with him through the hall of the school.

"What plan?" She so stupidly asks.

"Your plan."

"I don't have a plan."

"Well, you said you had all these ideas about how to catch a ghost rider."

"I had one idea. It was pretty bad. And then I had another really bad idea."

"Anything that could work?"

"No."

"I have one. But, it's really terrible." I spoke softly.

"Great. Let's do it." Liam says supporting this very bad idea.

"We need to break into the facility storage room." I add.

"To save the whole town from ghost riders? No problem." Liam grabs my hand as we walk down the hall. I look back to see Hayden glaring at me.

Hayden hides on this far off area where people could pass by you and you wouldn't be seen. Liam pulls me to the wall next to the storage unit door and gently starts to kiss me. We keep kissing as we wait for these two teachers to walk away. I can feel Hayden's glare.

"Do you have the list?" Liam whispers pulling away.

"Yeah. It's in my head."

"What if you forget something? Is that a good idea?"

"If we get caught stealing school supplies, it's a great idea."

The two teachers walk away. I tap Liam on the arm and signal Hayden. We run into the storage room and Liam shuts the door.

Hayden and I start picking up things we need and stuffing them into her bag.

"Can't we just buy a lightning rod?"

"Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't realize you had two thousand five hundred dollars lying around." I say sarcastically. Liam makes a face and nods as he starts to help look around. The three of us hit the corner to see Mr. Douglas.

"What are you doing here? This is faculty only." He says as he starts picking up all his stuff.

"Then why are you the one leaving?" I questioned.

"What are you doing?" Liam asks next.

"Plugs and wires? Are- are you making a taser?" Hayden asks next.

"No. No, of course not." He spoke rather quickly.

"You saw them didn't you?" Liam asks.

"You should be in class."

"Was it the night of the lacrosse game? You saw the lightning, the men, and the horses?"

"Dozens of them."

"Then what?"

"It was chaos. They were everywhere. Some of the kids were running. But, for everyone else it, it was like there was nothing there. They couldn't see a thing."

"We did." Hayden speaks up. "And we've got a lot more to tell you if you really wanna fight back."

Liam's phone starts to ring. He steps outside and takes the call. Hayden and I collect a few more thing we might need. Mr. Douglas helps collect a few minor things we might need to make a plan. As we also exit Liam pulls me off to the side. I hand Hayden my stuff.

"Can't this wait?" I ask.

"I'm afraid it can't." He says sadly looking down.

"What is it?" I try to get him to look at me.
