After a long day of school and being harassed by the counselor, I decided to go watch Liam and Cohen practice.

When I get there I spot Brett. Brett looks at me and doesn't hesitate to run towards me.

"Where were you? I was worried." He almost tackles me as he spins me around.

"It's a long story." I responded as he puts me back down. "How have you been?" I ask.

"I've been good."

"That's good." I respond.

"I have to go whoop Liam's ass in lacrosse, but we should talk after." Brett gives me a hug again and runs off. I go sit on the bleachers as Mason and Lori join me.

"Corey's been practicing all summer to play goalie. He's actually gotten really good." Mason goes on as we watch. Corey missed the ball that Brett through. I tried so hard not to laugh.

"The season doesn't start for at least a week." Lori reminds him.

"Thank god." Mason breathes out. The four boys go at it as Cohen stops running. Liam and Brett were blocking each other, but then ran into Corey.

"Um, was that Liam, Brett, or Corey?" Mason asks looking away.

"I think that was all of them." Lori responds.

"It was." I add. Mason makes a noise. The three boys stand up as Brett says something to Liam. They go again as Liam ducks flipping Brett over. He grabs the ball and throws it. The ball goes through the net. Brett and Liam start talking to each other again as Brett pushes him around a bit.

"Damn." I mumble into my hand.

Brett goes again. He throws the ball and Corey flies back. Brett takes off his helmet and helps Corey up. Liam walks off of the field and goes somewhere.

I stayed late after the practice. I was waiting for Brett. I go inside the school to retrieve my leather jacket from out of my locker. My phone starts ringing.

"Brett?" I answer. "I'm on my way."

"Izzy, stop, wait!" He yells.

"This woman. She's out for me. She's going to kill me." He spoke quickly into the phone.

"Stay put. I'm coming to find you. Just stay put!" I yell. I run though the parking lot.

I saw his car, but he was nowhere. I take off running in the woods. I run past a tree before I was swept up off my feet.

"Damn it, Brett!" I yell.

"Run!" He demands. We take off running in the woods. We stop behind a tree as he attempts to catch his breath. With one swift movement I broke the bracelets off of my wrist. I try so desperately to keep in control. I kept my necklace one which suppressed my werewolf, banshee, and phoenix abilities, so I can keep some of my control.

"What's happening?" I ask panicked.

"This person. She stabbed me with something. It's laced with wolfsbane." He utters.

"I- I can't burn it. If I do, I could kill you." I stutter as my hands become very shaky. The wind starts to pick up around us.

"Hey, hey, it's okay." Brett tries to calm me as he grabs my shaky hands. Only then did I see the arrow sticking out of his chest. I grab it as he nods. I pull it out quickly as he muffles a scream. I can hear his heart beat quickly. He pulls out his phone as he had no service. I couldn't find mine. I drop the arrow as we sit there for a second. I can see his eyes start to tear up. Brett's phone then starts ringing. He uses it to his advantage.
