It turns out Alex only lives a couple of houses down from mine, he insisted walking me to my door, even though I threatened to punch him in the face again, jokingly of course. I would never do it again, honestly. I don't want to be anything like my father. I made myself a promise to never 'hurt' someone again, unless I absolutely needed to.

Alex was new to the area, and he starts at my school tomorrow. I'm just hoping he leaves me alone, I can already hear the things people will be saying about us. Not that there is an us, or ever will be. He's annoying beyond belief and he's definitely not the type of guy to be friends with me.

The boy looks like he just stepped out of a photo shoot, he is way too attractive to be anything more than an acquaintance to me. I took in every detail of him; His brown hair was styled messily, like he didn't even try but it still managed to look perfect, and his black shirt hugged his body perfectly, not to mention that his jaw looks like it could give you a serious cut if you touched it, and his eyes were absolutely amazing, they were the most beautiful blue green colour I had ever seen.

I was so exhausted but I couldn't seem to get Alex off my mind, it's not like I care about him... And even if I did, he will never feel the same about me. I just met him an hour ago, and besides... I'm the type of girl that people make fun of. I don't spend hours doing my make up, I don't wear slutty clothes and 7-inch heels everyday, and I don't drive around in some expensive car.

Alex, on the other-hand, well he's the same as every other guy. All they care about are boobs, butts and sex. He's just another one of those good for nothing jocks.

Then again, was Alex really the same as everyone else or was I just telling myself that? Either way, I need to forget about him and his captivating eyes.

Finally, the lunch bell rang. I felt like I was sitting in that classroom for hours. Instead of going to the cafeteria like everyone else, I made my way to the back of the school, where there science block used to be. It burnt down a few years ago and they never seemed to fix it up, obviously.

Like most schools, we aren't allowed to smoke. Luckily for me, no one else goes anywhere near the old science block, so it gives me 40 minutes of smoking in peace.

I decided to miss next period, and stay out here. Besides, it was Drama, and no offence to anyone but I absolutely hate Drama. I lit another cigarette and closed my eyes, enjoying how quiet it was out here, away from all those superficial, egotistical teenagers. Sadly, I spoke to soon.

"Hey, I've been looking all over for you. I came out here and saw smoke, so I thought there's a chance that it was probably you..."

I didn't feel like talking so I moved the pack of cigarettes towards him, offering him one. Much to my surprise, he pulled one out and lit it.

"What's your name?"

"Grace." I said while blowing out a heap of smoke. "Why'd you ask?"

"Well you didn't tell me before-"

"Hey! What are you kids doing back there!"

Panicking, I put out my cigarette, grabbed my things and made a run for it, almost tripping in the process. Alex seemed to understand what was going on and followed in suit.

"Get back here immediately!"

I kept running, there is no way I'm going to let that old hag see who I am. Alex soon caught up to me and we kept running until we were far enough away from the school.
My body was pumping with adrenaline, that was the most most fun I have had in ages.

"Why... Were you looking... For me anyway?" I said whilst attempting to catch my breath.

"Well I.. I missed you." He said, looking me directly in the eyes.

"Whatever." I chuckled, "I'm hungry, let's go eat. I know a place not too far."

This chapter is dedicated to one of my main losers: shannonpattinson
Go follow her and read her new book 'Self Resentment' because it is literally amazing!
I would also like to thank her for giving my book a shout out on her account, and also for my shout out in her kick-ass novel.

I hope this chapter doesn't suck too much, and I would like to thank everyone that is reading this. I honestly didn't think I would get over 10 reads but I've gotten over 200 in just a few hours so thank you all so much. Xxx

(Oh and I picture Alex to look like that guy in the photo.)
