VALERIE HOPPER AND her father where inseparable. the pair did everything together and young valerie aspired to be just like him when she grew up. in fact, the whole hopper family where very close and valerie loved them more than life itself. but when her younger sister sarah started getting ill, that light and happiness that brought the family together started to slowly go out until the little girl suddenly passed. one by one valeries family left until it was just her and her father.

yet jim hopper grew cold and distant, distracting himself with his work so he didn't have to deal with the trouble of grief and guilt until his work fully consumed him and he had no time for anything else.  valerie ached for that close relationship she once had with her dad that she became desperate. and desperate times come to desperate measures.

as the girl noticed her dad spend more and more time at work and less time with her, she decided the only way she could get back into his life again was by interrupting his work life and from that moment on, valerie decided to cause trouble, as much trouble as she possibly could no matter the cost.

STEVE HARRINGTON LOVES trouble. something about the danger and adrenaline rush excited him. which is probably why steve was completely head over heels for valerie hopper. since the fifth grade, steve had been crushing hard on the young girl, yet she was too intimidating for him to do anything about it and as valerie wasn't ever interested in love, steve pushed his feelings aside and let himself move on. however the feeling just wouldn't shift and he remained hopelessly in love with the brunette, but too scared to do anything about it.

that was until the perfect opportunity arises for him to spend time with the girl whilst she achieves her goals of being rebellious.
